The_Osprey (9373) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2015
Cask at The Railway Tavern, Richmond as ’Ilkley Rosa Ostara Rose Petal Pale’. Amber orange, still, pretty clear, small bubbly off-white head, light lacing. Aroma is very light floral perfume. Body is medium to light, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is smooth malt, resin, burnt biscuits, touch of Jaffa Cake, astringent flowery hops, dry finish. The rose is very subtle, mixing with the floral hops so that it’s almost imperceptible. That’s a bit disappointing, but it’s decent quaff fodder anyway.

Cask at lescar, Sheffield. Slightly rosy golden ale with a silky white head. Aroma of faint Turkish delight and malty hoppy leafy tang. Taste is bitter and mild. Nice mild carbonation and medium/thin body. Nice easy drinking pale.

On cask at the Haymarket Bar.
Appearance - golden with a nice head.
Nose - there’s hint of rosewater but really it’s dominated by citrus.
Taste - custard with light rose infusion.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - a solid citizen.
