Amber color, steady off-white head. Tropical fruity nose, some pine needles. Light-bodied. Candy-like fruityness. Piney, good lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice one.

Cask (handpump) @ Earl of Essex, 25 Danbury Street, Islington, Greater London, England N1 8LE.
Unclear medium amber orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, candy, sweet fruit, spicy, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask at Euston Tap. It pours deep amber with a thick pearly white head. The nose is wood, earth, herbal notes, spice, caramel and nut. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, pine, spice, herbal, good bitterness, caramel, big praline character, resin and leather with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting and well balanced. Rather nice. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2013
Hand-pulled half-pint in ’Chequers’ Oxford on 23rd Nov 13 during a pub crawl.
Slight haze to this old gold/brown beer, an off-white helmet on my Norseman, it fell off mid tasting.
The nose was malty and woody with dark fruits.
In the mouth it remained malt led, nutty now, more so than the wood in the aroma: dark fruits still around in the taste as in the smell.
Good body depth and an interesting flavoured beer: the Norwegian Spruce tree being an ingredient I’ve not knowingly come across before. jjsint (3003) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2013
Cask @ Falcon, Clapham Junction. Brownish gold with a big white head. Faint wood and autumn berry aroma. Dry taste without too much bitterness. Different from the norm but very pleasant. Wow,.

Cask at The Abbott Cook in Reading. Bit of an astringent beer this one. Pretty malty too. With English hops too. This is not winning me over. MrTipple (4803) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2013
Aroma: sweet scents, not much else. Appearance: dark gold, slightly hazy. Taste: medium sweet, malty. Palate: light bitterness. Pint at the Windsor Castle, W8. Beerheart65 (1503) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 21, 2013
Nice hazy amber with sticky, creamy off-white head staying ok and leaving lacing well. Strong aroma is hoppy fresh and invites to taste: citrus and tropical fruits mix with bit soapy notes and cover malt mostly. Great palate (real ale) soft and full, bit tingling bitterness giving good balance, finish is long and lively starting with fruits and woody malt and leaving with bitter grspefruit and pine. Great taste, palate and character, enjoyed! mR_fr0g (11913) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2013
Cask at Nicholson’s pub carary wharf. Aroma is nutty caramel slight praline and big alcohol presence. Dark brown in colour with a loose persistent off white head. Flavour is brown malt nail polish remover, caramel and solid bitterness. harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2013
Cask handpull at The Old Buttermarket Canterbury. Hazy brown some white film of bubbles on the head. Not much condition. Earthy hedgerow fruity English style ipa. I ended up really liking this beer. Aroma and appearance aren’t the best but the stingy hedgerow hoppy fruity finish is excellent. Plums and greengage fruit. Ilkley are a solid brewery and this is what I would expect from there.
