Straight from a growler via the brewmasters tavern in Williamsburg, MA, this is a grand IPA. Taste is sweet and malty and then hoppy goodness. Color is a stand up amber that shines dilligently. Head is foamy yet subsides quickly. ABV is masked quite marvelously. Taste comes back to amber, grapefruit, musky cinnamon, pine that has fallen from the tree for 4 days, and resonated nutmeg. Aroma is citurs fresh that ushers in a medalion like smell as well. Taste going down is tinny at first yet subtle and profound the next. Solid brew. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 8, 2010
on tap at the brewpub, pours amber with a medium white head. Aroma is strong citrus hops and pine. Flavor is mildly sweet toasted malt, very rich resin hop flavors ending extremely dry. Drank this side by side with the Warthog IIPA and this one seemed to have a bit more hop character.
