COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This collaboration has been ‘brewing’ for quite some time. Indeed Brewing Company partnered with their neighbors at Dogwood Coffee to create Burr Grinder “Beer Coffee”. After searching for the perfect coffee, 90-pounds of Guatemalan Finca Rosma was steeped in the brew kettle before we topped-off the finished beer with 54-gallons of cold press. Delivering an intense coffee punch while preserving the delicate aromas of the complex beans, Burr Grinder will have you wondering whether you’re a beer geek or a coffee geek.

Don’t mind the aroma as much as the taste, which is similar to my thoughts on coffee. Aroma is roast coffee. Taste is dark roast coffee with just a hint of sweet malt. Too far down the coffee spectrum for me.

Poured from a bomber. Aroma is huge coffee. Flavors are coffee and caramel. Very nice for a straight up coffee beer. Touché indeed!

750 mL. Rusty color with a thin khaki head. Dark roasted coffee, roasted malts, a little musty, and grain. Taste has a malty sweetness with a bitter coffee finish. Body is medium with a bubbly feel. Good integration of coffee, but there were some weird flavors in the background.

Dark brown with a small head. Light fresh roasted coffee aroma with some caramel. Big coffee flavor. Mild roast, caramel, buttery malt, and bread.

Pours a dark brown with rapidly-dissipating head. Aroma of roast coffee. Flavor is primarily dark roast coffee, with a bit of spiciness, and some sweet malt underneath. Very smooth and tasty.

Share courtesy of our tasting host, douglas88. It poured up with a clear deep copper body supporting an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth nutty coffee roastiness. If I close my eyes and smell it seems just like a cup of coffee. The taste has a medium roast coffee note mixing with faint chili pepper that delivers zero heat. Pretty nice cup o joe.

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep brown color with some reddish hints with a medium light beige head. A big nose of coffee and peppers. The flavor is vanilla, earthy, dusty/dry, huge roasted coffee, light pepper and more vanilla. Good.

Jalapeno aroma, with coffee and sweet malt. Coffee flavor is dominant. Some sweet malt. Drier roasty aftertaste.
