COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malts to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taught white head that keeps track of time as you sip. Then there are the hops – four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character that greets you in the nose and embraces your mouth with a clean, crisp bitterness.

16 oz can poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, grapefruit, light pine and a hint of orange zest. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and pine with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Clear, pale pour. Thin and rapidly disappearing head. Nose is grassy with a touch of malt. Flavor is lemon and grass first, then a touch of malt sweetness.

Great pale ale! Dangerously drinkable... always a nice go to at the he end of the day. Light hoppy flavor with citrus tones on the back end. Comparable to the ballast point grunion.

Pretty good beer although I would say that the hoppy bitterness is more similar to an IPA. Flavor’s also quite dry. Aroma is hoppy and perfumy with a little bit of malt.

Poured from can large white head smell of citrus zest with pine, strong pine flavor and aftertste quite refreshing

From a can at Minneapolis Marriott City Center. Pours dark gold (or light amber), clear, with a fine white head. Aroma is predominantly grapefruit, as mentioned on the can. Body is medium, sticky and astringent, with average carbonation. Taste has marked bitterness, practically no sweetness. The bitterness sticks around in the finish as well.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2016 12oz can to tulip. Pours hazy orange amber, sticky white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass, some bread and biscuit. Taste of same with slight tropical notes and dry bitter grapefruit and orange rind finish. Seems higher than 45 ibu with bitter finish. Solid for style.

12 oz can. BB 11/01/16. (Happy Harry’s) Fargo, ND.
Clear golden color with a small to medium size foamy white head. Sweet fruity hops, mild bitterness, sweetish malt and some resiny notes in the aroma. The flavor is resiny piney hops, moderate bitterness, darkness and sweet maltiness. A bit too dark and sweet to be really sessionable for me. Nice artwork.

Citrus fruits, lemon, lime, light floral hops. Hazy, pale gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More citrus fruits, grain malts, light pine, soft carbonation. Decent APA, well-balanced. Cask at brewery, Minneapolis.
