COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malts to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taught white head that keeps track of time as you sip. Then there are the hops four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character that greets you in the nose and embraces your mouth with a clean, crisp bitterness.

Nice aroma of citrus/grapefruit....fresh. Deep gold with hints of orang and a thin wite head. Rich sweat malt up front. Citrus overtones throughout. Bitterness comes in nicely. Pine and floral grassy notes are hidden in bitterness, which holds on for a while. Sliky mouth feel Solid brew.

Poured from a can - there is a date on the bottom of the can, but I cant tell what it is. Appearance - very nice golden color/ Taste - a pale ale that tastes like an IPA - cant be a bad thing. Palate - very nice - nice bite...top notch beer. Overall - Indeed brewery does 1st class beers. I think they are right there with Surly in the Minneapolis area.

Draft at the brewery. This is a solid American PA, and Id buy this by the case if I was in the MSP area. Piney, but also with an acidic citric tartness, an almost puckering factor. Fill the fridge. (#5666, 8/28/2014)

Can from Four Firkins. Pours a clear orange with a white head leaving lots of wedding dress lacing. Aroma has heavy pine and citrus, with some biscuity malts. Taste follows - quite bitter some sweetness from the malts, but that is way back. Spicy tangy but essentially bitter. 14.3

Can:   Lots of pithy powdery sugar sweetness in this one.   Reminds me of a Danish Pale or IPA.   Pretty bitter for a Pale Ale.   A slight touch of cat urine... guessing the hops?   Fairly full bodied.   A faint touch of earthiness on the backside.   Citrus peel bith and bitterness linger fairly long.   Another decent example.

Tasting sessions with my generous friend Frank.

Aroma is huge, intense, hoppy. Smells like a top shelf DIPA. Taste is bitter and a little acidic. A tad watery, missing something. Still a solid beer, but my nose deceived me.
