The second in our ‘Derailed Series’, Mexican Honey is an Imperial Mexican Lager brewed with rare Mexican Orange Flower honey. Effervescent aromas of citrus and honeycomb leap out and boogie atop a crisp, pale yellow body with slight hints of cracker and toast.

Really solid brew, doesn’t have much honey aspect but it is a sweet and orangey impreial lager. Not sure what the ale part of its name represents.

On tap at Stub & Herbs. Pours a clear yellow with a touch of gold and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has note of bread and cookie with a decent amount of earthy honey. Flavor is similar with sweet grains and and earthy honey underlying.

Tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy light orange pour with a white head. Lots of honey and cracker in this one. Slight booziness adds a bit of intrigue. Pretty cool brew.

Pour on tap, clear golden yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big honey, vanilla, biscuit and bread into some corn, grass, touch of orange peel into a bit of earth. Taste was a mix of earth, yeast, honey into some vanilla, white fruit, touch of grainy notes, some orange as well, finishing sweet.
