The second in our ‘Derailed Series’, Mexican Honey is an Imperial Mexican Lager brewed with rare Mexican Orange Flower honey. Effervescent aromas of citrus and honeycomb leap out and boogie atop a crisp, pale yellow body with slight hints of cracker and toast.

Basically it's just a plain regular World lager Brand X type stuff. Why on Earth anybody who would want to exemplify Mexican lager is beyond me but whatever. This being a strong version is just that, doesn't make it any better or worse. It just tastes like a strong lager. End of a short story.

Tap - average size foamy head, pale gold color, moderate sweet honey aroma and flavor, mildly dry finish, ok overall

Accidentally ordered this thinking it was the much higher rated Mexican Cousin. Oh well. Yellow body not much head. Light sweet honey floral aroma. Taste is like somewhere between a mead and a lager. Okay.

Can at an Indeed tasting at the Beer&Beyond, Tel Aviv. Clear yellow with off-white head. The aroma has notes of grains, honey, dust and ripe fruits. The flavor is alcoholic with notes of honey, spirit, grains and some herbs. Medium-bodied.

Can at an Indeed tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Yellow-golden. Grains, honey, a bit of grassy hops, sweet, bitterish finish, some bitter alcohol. Too sweet and alcoholic for my liking.

From a can. Golden pour. Sweet candied citrus and slightly boozy corn / bready base. Honey is apparent, but you have to know it’s there to really pick it out. Not much a fan of this one.

16 Fl. Oz. Can. Poured bright golden, slightly hazy, big off white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of bread, citrus fruit, floral notes and some honey. Taste is sweet, lots of honey some grainy notes and some orange. Very nice, very enjoyable, very easy to drink.
