This one is kind of an odd duck. Appearance isn’t bad, with a dark Amber scummy short-lived had in some ways. Aroma is malt and coffee some tops. Flavor has malt some sweetness and hop bitterness but not much hop flavor. I guess it’s an okay beer. Ronritter (775) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 16, 2016

Tap at Stouts. Orange with a large white head. Toffee, sugar, alcohol, pepper and pineapple aromas. Fairly sweet with a dry peppery finish. Medium body with a foamy feel. AWISLguy (3170) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 30, 2016
Howler from the source, split with bananabi11. Copper orange pour with a white head. Aroma has sweet fruits, malts, citrus and pine. Taste is of sweet tangy fruits, sweet malts. Piney. Resin. Medium bodied, a touch of alcohol presence. The blend is solid. And carbonation is solid. Nice one! 14 MrTipple (5288) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2016

Can. Amber in colour with medium carbonation and a few floaties. Aromas are of red grapefruit, pomelo, heavy pale malt, and black pepper. Flavors are of raw green hop, vague citrus, cereal grains and a bit of caramel. Medium bodied and fairly bitter. A bit malt forward for my taste, but decent overall. Draft on tap at the brewery (Minneapolis, MN). Pours a darker deep carmelized blood red hue. A subtle haziness but nearly transparent with that deep carmelized reddish glow throughout. Frothy whitish head is sizable but dies to a thicker ringer quick enough. Aromas are bitter, carmelized and toasty. Green and floral hops, some citric jabs quickly giving a carmelized and biscuity appeal beneath. Initial offers a fuller caramel driven body. Red malts, firm piney and floral bitterness is the supporter with the fruity appeal fading quickly. Fuller bodied, a bit brooding, and lacking not only a signature fresh or fruity hop appeal, but offering far too much body overall. Meh. Ok. Not my type of IPA. commonshawn (1266) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 16, 2016
Tap at brewery with commonmac on March madness eve. Light copper with medium short lasting white head and good lacing. Grapefruit nose. Very sharp initial taste, then gives way a piney citrus bitterness. Very fresh, pungent, and nice bite on finish. Strong but fresh bitterness. Starts to wear on you after a bit, though. A crisp beer that could fit many occasions. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAR 4, 2016
Tap at butcher and the boar. Hemp in the nose. Lovely aroma. Beautiful lasting specials. Hazy body dark Amber. My favorite indeed beer, outside of Hot Box. Far better than let it ride. islay (2805) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 23, 2016
Majority of 10 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Nordeast Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 1-21-16. Pours a dark copper/amber. Nice color. Clear liquid. Beige head. Scents of mango, grapefruit, malted milk balls, and dirt. Nice, dry flavor. Citric taste: Lemon, grapefruit. Well toasted bread and fruit. Seems to be a red IPA, and I often like that style. Impressive flavor. Soft and lively in the palate. Medium body. Pretty darn good beer.
