Sampled on tap at Indeed. Pours a black color with white head. Spicy, malty, brown sugar aromas. Big ginger, malty flavors. Man, I’m not a ginger fan, but not bad. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JAN 13, 2013
750ml bottle from Atom, thanks Adam! Pours a deep red-brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is fresh ginger and a pleasant malt sweetness. Maybe a touch of honey and a light spice as well. Flavor is similar. A good amount of fresh ginger, but well balanced with a nice, light-medium malt sweetness. Touches of bread, a bit of a floral note, and a hint of honey towards the end as this finishes with a light spicing and bitterness balanced with a clean malt sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, not a lot of complexity to this one, but really well balanced and extremely easy drinking. Very nice ginger note throughout with a light spicing and a touch of honey to add to the pleasant malt backing. Good beer. cards04 (2793) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Pours a light mahogony. Hoppy aromas. Flavours are perfumey and fruity. Not too bad. ryanfolty (2553) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - DEC 15, 2012
December 15, 2012 on tap at brewery. Orangish brown pour with head and lacing. Malt, spice and honey in aroma. Taste was consistent with aroma, very nicely balanced for a holiday ale not too much spice and finished with sweetness from the honey. Atom (2453) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Bottle pours a dark amber/brown with a large khaki head. Aroma of ginger and honey with caramel and toffee malts. Taste of ginger and sweet honey in to some earthy toffee and caramel malts finishing with some earthy bitterness. Not overly complex but enjoyable.

Big bottle. Can’t detect ginger in the nose or taste. More cinnamon and maybe allspice. Subtle favors. Light for 7%. Not bad. Dark red with a big tan head. Murky. Very good. portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - NOV 30, 2013
750 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper brown color with a soapy frothy khaki head that settles to a soapy film and collar. Aroma has strong ginger coriander some cinnamon. Taste shows roasted malt subtle chocolate toffee and plenty of ginger cinnamon coriander clove and has a soft bitterness. Palate is thin to medium with a rather harsh finish. Decent brew, but over spiced for my taste. XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2012
On tap at Groveland Yap, nice dark ruby pour with a frothy white head. Big intense aromas of ginger as well as flavor, kind of weird but kind of interesting.

Bottle from Amy! Clear dark brown pour, light, thin lasting head and an aroma of sweet (but not overpowering) fresh ginger. Flavor is nutty caramel, mellow ginger & clove and finished a bit sweet. Decent and worth picking up at least once.
