This is the winter warmer version. Aroma is malty with some spice. Flavor is like nose up front more bitter than sweet along with the spices finishing more balanced. Body is fairly mild not too heavy.

Reddish attractive appearance. A bit of a nutmeg nose on this one. Pretty good.

Pours a deep brown with a thick off white head. Aroma of ginger and that's about it. Taste is light and malty, lots of ginger and some cinnamon. Not very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled on tap at Indeed. Pours a black color with white head. Spicy, malty, brown sugar aromas. Big ginger, malty flavors. Man, I’m not a ginger fan, but not bad.

750ml bottle from Atom, thanks Adam! Pours a deep red-brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is fresh ginger and a pleasant malt sweetness. Maybe a touch of honey and a light spice as well. Flavor is similar. A good amount of fresh ginger, but well balanced with a nice, light-medium malt sweetness. Touches of bread, a bit of a floral note, and a hint of honey towards the end as this finishes with a light spicing and bitterness balanced with a clean malt sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, not a lot of complexity to this one, but really well balanced and extremely easy drinking. Very nice ginger note throughout with a light spicing and a touch of honey to add to the pleasant malt backing. Good beer.

Pours a light mahogony. Hoppy aromas. Flavours are perfumey and fruity. Not too bad.

December 15, 2012 on tap at brewery. Orangish brown pour with head and lacing. Malt, spice and honey in aroma. Taste was consistent with aroma, very nicely balanced for a holiday ale not too much spice and finished with sweetness from the honey.

Bottle pours a dark amber/brown with a large khaki head. Aroma of ginger and honey with caramel and toffee malts. Taste of ginger and sweet honey in to some earthy toffee and caramel malts finishing with some earthy bitterness. Not overly complex but enjoyable.

Big bottle. Can’t detect ginger in the nose or taste. More cinnamon and maybe allspice. Subtle favors. Light for 7%. Not bad. Dark red with a big tan head. Murky. Very good.
