12 oz bottle. (Fiesta) Austin, TX.
The bottle only says Convict Hill Oatmeal Stout. It doesnt say Imperial or the abv. I guess this is this. Black color with a small tan head. Dry roasted malt, licorice, some cough drops and some medicine notes in the aroma. Super balanced flavor of dry roasted malt, licorice, cough drops, salt, dryness and some medicine notes. Really tasty. Amazingly smooth and balanced. This came totally out of the blue. I thought I bought a mild oatmeal stout... Wow! Nice!

Bottle. Chocolate oatmeal malt and dry grass aroma. Black with small tan head. Moderately sweet chocolate oat malt and mildly bitter dry grass/hay flavor. Body on the light side. Pretty good.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2016 On tap, tulip glass. Aroma of fresh clean grain. Black as night, perfect. Coffee color when glass tilted toward light. Taste of a medium roast coffee using double the grounds. A little sweet on back end. Hearty palate, mouthful even when sipping. Great carbonation. Good beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours brown-black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is similar to nose, with some coffee notes. Finish is dry, roasty, and acidic. Decent.

Jet black pour, nothing more than a ring of tan fuzz, no real head. Nose is espresso and mild coco. Bittersweet. Middle is coffee grounds, dark malt, chalky chocolate. Finish is bitter, a little boozy.

Nice looking brown black with a tan head. It's chocolate and coffee but not a ton. Very mild and boring, but the alcohol is well hidden. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Hyatt Regency Austin. Dark pour, thin head. Aroma was chocolatey. The flavor was carbonated roast. Not a lot of sweetness or other flavor. Kind of bland...and slightly overcarbonated. Had a bitter finish. It wasnt great. I never would have guessed it was "imperial" anything.

Bottle from Bearded Monk on the way up to WF. Very dark brown color with a big brown head that lasts forever. Aroma is dark malt and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is roasted malt with a hint of minerals and the oatmeal gives it a fuller mouthfeel. A little coffee bitterness in the dry, lingering finish. Pleasant.

(Bouteille): Popsicle bleu, vapeur danis et vanille dans un ensemble trs moelleux et moyennement sucr. Trs bon.
