Oily black pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, tobacco, Thick, with flavors of chocolate and coffee. Very creamy. JStax (6477) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks to errl. Pours a viscous black with a khaki colored head of foam with decent retention. The aroma is ashy, roasty, mildly fruity, heavily roasted malt. Taste is earthy bitterness and just slightly sweet. That ashy note from the aroma is fairly dominant. Its distracting, but not unenjoyable. RickTStiles (826) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 19, 2013
pours black with a thin beige head and no lacing. aroma of brown sugar, vanilla, and syrup. taste is bitter with bourbon, licorice, and anise. finish is bittersweet. texture is thick and sticky. a nice beer. Phatdog1 (179) - Brentwood, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 16, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2013 12 oz bottle compliments of Crajun. Pitch black pour. Aroma of dark chocolate and some coffee. Thick & chewy mouthfeel. Chocolate and raisin upfront, black licorice finish. Thick on the tongue, the way an oatmeal should be. Will seek out more of this!

Man, I love this stout. Probably one the best in the state. Nice roasted malt and coffee aroma. Dark color that you can’t see through like a straight cup of coffee. Small maple head. Flavors are burnt toast, coffee and some bitter chocolate. Oily mouthfeel that coats your mouth. Well balanced with a nice alcohol undertone. Not all that easy to get yet, so pick one up if you see it.

Bitter cocoa and slightly tart aroma. Very dark with a thick but quickly fading dark tan head. Smooth. Lighter bodied than expected. Cocoa bitterness. michaelinwa (656) - Bothell, Washington, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Bottle from trade with crajun. Black pour, low disappearing head without lacing, Aroma is sweet malt, roasty, chocolate and a hint of dried fruit; pretty nice. Flavor is very balanced with roasted notes, hint of chocolate and the right amount of bitterness for me. A little alcohol is in there. Flavors linger on the palate nicely, giving this good mouthfeel. Overall, a really balanced but interesting and very drinkable stout. Thanks, Kevin. drsordr (2656) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JAN 18, 2013

Had to come back and re rate since my first score was early on. Still drinks nice but not a 4.4. TwinBeer (58) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Dark black with a light brown head. Smells of chocolate and coffee, taste is nice semisweet dark chocolate with a light coffee and slight bitter after taste. overall this is a very good oatmeal stout with the 9.2% hidden well. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 8, 2013
12oz bottle sent by crajun from his free beer contest, thanks! Pours black with a light tannish head and spotty lacing in the glass, aroma has a nice amount of chocolate with just a little bit of oat coming through, the flavor has a sweet front end with a finish of a little bit of chocolate, the mouthfeel is just a little light though and I wanted more out of it, the abv is well hidden, not bad.
