Bottle 12fl.oz. @ chriso s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2012.

Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, oat. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20120804]

[email protected] pre-gbbf shindig 2012 (not mentioning imperial on the bottle). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is fruity, ashy, roasted malts, some mild toffee and coffee. Flavour is quite much similar in a nice balance.

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Dark black - brown beer, tiny pale tan head. Light dry palate. Light touch of dark malt. Trace of coffee bitterness. Mild minerals. An okay stout - a little dry and bitter.

Leighton (22508) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours dark, red-brown with a weak, tan cream head. A bit of taintly tangy cocoa in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with milky chocolate, mild roast, dark bread. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately dry finish with bittersweet cocoa, some earth, dirt. Very decent stuff.

At Chriso pre GBBF Shindig 2012. Black beer lasting beige head. Decent choc beer with decent depth. Good fullness from the oats. Decent but not my thing

On tap at Independent, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out lots of oatmeal and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is robust, with lots of dry oats, toasted malt and a bit of hoppy bitterness for good balance. Bone dry but hearty and full-bodied. A fantastic example of the style.

TBone (18328) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 22, 2017
Tap at The Brass Tap, Austin. Dark brown color, not much head. Rye bready, toasted aroma. Medium-bodied. Burned malty, a bit boozy, bready flavor. Oat makes this smooth. Not so balanced for my liking but ok.
