Stash IPA is defined by the hops. 7 additions of 4 different varietals, Columbus, Galaxy, Nugget and Cascade create a hop explosion that finishes clean. A dank, resinous and enlightening hop trip. It’s got mad hops.
Head Brewer Michael Waters: "The Stash is a reincarnated beast. It makes sense to go to the source, and IPA for me is defined by the West Coast. Three pounds of hops per barrel, 100 IBU, and a large dose of Columbus hops so the aroma matches the name."

UXO (1896) - CANADA - JAN 24, 2016
Appearance: hazy pale gold with a short ivory head, good retention and well-defined lacing. (4/5) Aroma: tropical fruit, citrus, pale malt, dank, onion. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, high bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry lingering bitter finish. (3/5) I was sort of expecting brighter hops for something so fresh. The aromas also don’t really seem to communicate the true bitterness of this thing - it doesn’t smell anywhere near as massively bitter as it ends up being on the tongue. The dankness (“stash”, geddit?) starts to come through a bit more as it warms, but so does the onion, so that’s a little bit of a double-edged sword. Ultimately, though, it’s an impressively easy drinking beast for 7% and 100IBU. (14/20)

Citrus ipa towards lemons. Pours a little cloudy with a nice long lasting pillowy white head. Taste is bitter forward. Some hop flavor lingers and they’re on the brighter side. Not much malt but it’s not so overwhelmingly bitter that it’s an issue. Good drinker, bit of a one note thing though.

Golden brew with fast fading head. Aroma is mild for an IPA with only a hint at some herbal hops. Taste is slight herbal and floral at first but finished out with a bit of citrus. Not as hopped as I would expect for an IPA but the mild hops has made this one very chuggable. So overall not a bad brew but not the best example of an IPA.

On tap at Gingerman in Austin. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Aromas of grapefruit and citrus. Taste is light bitterness with a lingering sweetness. On the juicy side. Good IPA when you’re in Austin.

330ml bottle at home. LOVE the stash IPA, in my opinion one of the smoothes IPAs out there. True hop explosion but not that bitter.

Rated based on notes taken 23 June 2012 -- Very well done IPA. Much enjoyment was had.

It was a very weak IPA it didn't finish well at all for an IPA. I don't think the hops in this one was enough to put that floral finish on it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer pours clear golden color with a retained egg white head. Aromas of grass and citrus. Taste is pleasantly bitter. Finish is also bitter. Pretty damn good beer.

Onion and dank aroma. Light gold with good head. Unbalanced flavor with dank hops dominating. Grainy malt flavor. Dry finish.

On tap at Craft and Growler in Dallas, TX - medium gold/orange with a small head. Has a citrus hop aroma and a dry hop taste. Reminds me a lot of Ballast Point Sculpin or Big Eye. A real hop bomb.
