India Pale Ales were first brewed by British Brewers for the Brits when they occupied India. These ales were invented to meet the demand that the Brits had for their pints… The problem was that without refrigerated cargo containers the beer was spoiling on the voyage over; so the brewers discovered that if they “hopped” up the beer and rose up the alcohol content that the beer would arrive in fine shape. Following that long tradition Indian Wells Brewing Co. has made a classic IPA. This ale comes in at a more traditional IBU of 52; so if you’re looking for a crazy over the top IPA; sorry try another beer… But is you like a clean; dry hopped beer that compliments spicy foods or just like the taste of hops; give our Amnesia IPA a try today!

DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 27, 2010
Bottle. Pours a nice looking dark orange with a short-lived head, no lace. Low hop aroma, slightly fruity but more reedy/vegetal really. The flavours are the same, with rather dumbed-down hops and thin malts.

Bottle. Ballistic Gargoyle IPA. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light malt aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with light malt. Body is a little lighter. OK bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with light malt.

Picked up at Keg and Barrel 15th street in Plano, TX. 12oz bottle pours up deep gold with a touch of haze to go along with copper hues and weak loose off white head. The aroma has a disjointed mix of caramel, maltiness and sharply bitter smelling grapefruit. The taste is similar starting with a brief nearly tasteless sweet note that gets clobbered by carbonation enhanced sharp to tart to nearly sour citrus bitter notes. It sort of stays citrus tart and almost sour into the finish.

Pours a medium tan-brown .. . low head but some there .. . aroma of summer pine and sea water.. . wow, a pretty salty beer with light muddled pine and seaweed .. sea water brew .. . spots of lacing .. . goes down the throat without a thought.. . an easy drinking brew but has no real enjoyable flavours or complexity .. . but a poundable brew at best, the abv is not detected .. . tonight will be genral tso and rice with west brom, middlesboro, and newcastle for championship dessert! 5-24-09 7:45pm

12 oz. hazy dark amber with virtually no lace, head, or legs. dirty laundry on the nose, along with tons of sweat and butter. creamy medium body with light carb. pennies and battery licking flavors on the mid palate. tangy buttery finish.

BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 16, 2009
Bottle. Pours with a tan head fading over a hazed amber body. Aroma is straight high alpha American hop pellets (can’t remember at this point of the night if it is Centennial or Warrior, but I have smelled these pellets before). Caramel backing. Taste doesn’t have much bittering hop, but a decent amount of late boil hops. Seems very home-brew like...All extract IPA nearly. Light bubbles. The first "drinkable" Indian Wells beer that I have had.

Sledutah (7831) - Utah, USA - JUN 18, 2016

Not bad but not much of an ipa

AmEricanbrew (6954) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JUN 10, 2009
Crystal clear amber with a fleeting head. Mild grassy hop aroma. Medium body. Earthy tea leaf hop flavors on a caramel malt base brew. Not too bad.

Braudog (6833) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUN 5, 2015
Bottle. Erupts from the bottle, but very quickly settles into a simple sipper. Woody aroma, sturdy flavors. Thinner body. (#5982, 6/5/2015)

blutt59 (6579) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 13, 2009
bottle, golden color with strong white foam, light hoppy malted nose, grapefruit, sugar cookie flavor, highly metallic lasting bitterness
