Bottle: Nice clean IPA, a good session beer. Has all the basic characteristics well balanced. Nice. brianprentiss (702) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 7, 2008
really solid IPA with a cool name. It’s not as hoppy or bitter as a normal IPA and would probably be a good APA, but nonetheless a good beer.

Copper color with a small off-white head. Nose is floral and yeasty. Taste is a little less hoppy than the typical American IPA. The malts show through the hops clearly. Alcohol is also subtly apparent. There’s a sourness in the taste that I’m not sure what is causing that taste component and a slight astringency. Mildly hoppy finish with some lingering sourness. v64 (134) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 29, 2009
Yellowish brown in appearance, moderate head. Slightly malty, flowery aroma. Not very hoppy at all for an IPA, but it can be slightly tasted. The alcohol content is well masked and it’s just perfectly carbonated. If you’re a hophead, this isn’t the IPA for you. That being said, I’m not, and I think it’s delicious. degbert (1773) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 27, 2010
Poured from bottle. Clean if light nose of citrus, floral (orange blossom?), and cut grass. Color is dark for an IPA; amber shading into bronze with a moussy, long-lasting, clingy head. Taste is refreshingly dry, with lime and herbal notes and a strong hops bitterness on the close. Not a hop bomb at all, which I like. Great, cleansing carbonation. Quite good.

Bottle. Ballistic Gargoyle IPA. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light malt aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with light malt. Body is a little lighter. OK bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with light malt. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 12, 2008
Bottle from Wholefoods. Fizzy copper brown with an earthy herbal hops and caramel aroma. Crisp grainy, earhty, grassy taste with some caramel notes. Decent. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 16, 2008
Bottle: Pours an earthy amber color with light head and lacing. The nose is faint and malty, thin though. the flavor is herbal with some pine and grass along with a chewy caramel malt tail Balanced finish. More like a malty pale ale or hoppy amber ale. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - APR 17, 2009
Bottle. Pours copper with a tan head. Smells of resin, spicy, peppery. Tastes of caramrl, resin, spicy. Decent. dchmela (3064) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Thanks to Maltjo for the bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a thick white head. Resiny pine hop aroma light malt body with resiny pine citrus hops. Much more of a standard ipa, easier drinking and sessionable. Decent brew.
