Pours a dirty brown with a thin beige head. Spicy floral aroma. Rye, wheat, smoke, and spicy fruit notes. Light thin body with a smooth watery mouthfeel. Finishes sweet and grainy.
Small Foamy white mostly lasting finely sized. Semi opaque dark red brown. Mild malt hop aroma. Deep hop rye flavor. Ok not very impressive. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Very nice beer. Dark brown pour, sweet, hints of the rye but just very bready and smooth throughout. I’m not from the area so I don’t know it it’s on a lot, but I could drink a lot of this. Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 27, 2014
Sample at Twenty Tap. Cloudy brown color with a medium beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, mildly spicy rye and a touch of fruit. The finish is grainy malt and rye. Decent overall. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - MAY 11, 2014
Draft @ brewery. Banana and bready malt aroma. Chestnut with a moderate beige head. Fruity banana, brown sugar malt, and bready/yeasty flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice, but I wasn’t getting rye from this one. Block (2894) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - APR 21, 2014
Rye beers are definitely the hot variety of beer right now in Indiana. Unfortunately this one isn’t a stand out.

Draft. Caramel, rye malt, and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet caramel and rye malt flavor. Very nice beer. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Taster on tap at the brewery. Caramel malt, a bit of rye up front in the palate. Kind of sweet taste. Mostly clear, dark red color. Thin ring of off-white head. No lace sticks. Medium to bigger body, big for the ABV. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish, lightly sticky. Decent rye ale. Kind of sweet and sticky, would prefer a little more hop to pair with that rye. ESBob (379) - Indiana, USA - MAR 16, 2014
Tap. Pours a rusty brown. Roasty and slightly smoke aroma, grains, malts, slight spice. Taste is a medium slightly bitter. A nice Rye! Patrickctenchi (6665) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Cloudy brown with a small, off-white head.
Rye malt, toffee aroma.
Chewy, malty rye and caramel flavour.
A really nice level of rye-ness....
Like to see this rye-barreled and pumped up a bit.
