12 ounce can, my last beer from The Brewster Club. Both FedEx and Ups canceled their account because of the volume of beer they were shopping.
Pours black, creamy head of tan foam.
Smells of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate.
Taste is a battle between the coffee and roasted malt, chocolate takes the bronze.
Excellent and very nice Oatmeal Stout.

Flat black bodied with a minimal wispy beige head. The nose is roasty with some coffee and some minimal oats. The flavor is a bit burnt and over-roasted with a burnt malt finish. I don’t get a whole lot of oat character from this, it’s really roasty and burnt. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a slight cling. Not working for me, overly heavy on the burnt malt. Can from a trade. Been sitting in the fridge a few weeks. Nose is huge in chocolate and fudge. Some dark bread notes as well. Very inviting. Deep brown with a dark tan head. Taste is lightly dark chocolate with a subtle roast and bitterness up front followed by a creamy silkiness. Light grainy flavors. Like an oatmeal stout but less roasty. Really good. Wowe. Oh. I guess it is an oatmeal stout. kathouse (1890) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - NOV 5, 2015
Only a ring of foam tops the deep brown liquid. Coffee and chocolate aroma is mimicked in the flavor. Roast finish is drier than the sweet stout moniker. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2015
Black pour from draft at their brewery. Milky and fresh cocoa aroma. Slightly smokey flavor. Roasty and creamy. Very good beer. One of my favorites today

tap at the brewery - Pours near black with a tan head and has an aroma of roast malt, coffee, and smoke. Not sure why I’m thinking smoked as it’s not a smoked beer, but that’s alright. It has a good roast malt and coffee flavor, a full body, and dark roast malt that lingers on the palate. Very well done. Block (2725) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Had this as a part of a flight tasting. This was a great stout. High in alcohol with a robust body. A light coffee flavor with more dominate roasted malts, caramel, and dark chocolate. A bit of spice which may have lead to my slight teriyaki flavor. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Taster on tap at the brewery. Black color. Good thin light brown head, leaves good lace. Nice bigger earthy bitter hop character, I like that. Bigger coffee, good roast malt aromas. Dark chocolate. Good longer aftertaste, big flavor for the ABV. Very roasty, good bitterness. Medium to bigger body, smooth, lighter carbonation, good chewiness. This is a fantastic oatmeal stout. phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 24, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2014 Growler from RapeBeer- thanks a ton, Nico! Very generous. Pours a deep, opaque, basically black color with a bit of tan head that quickly dissipates into a ring with an island of thin film. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, nuts, toast, tobacco, and a little fudge. Flavor is mostly the same- starts and finishes with coffee, oatmeal, earth, tobacco, nuts, toast, and dark chocolate. Light-medium bodied, with a roasty mouthfeel and low to moderate carbonation. Good, roasty oatmeal stout. b3shine (8870) - Indiana, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Draft to taster. Looks good; a fairly opaque dark brownish black with light beige lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, coffee, roast, and a bit of dark chocolate. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.
