(Homebrewers Tap Takeover @ Indie Alehouse, Toronto, ON)
Draught at ’Indie Alehouse Homebrewers Tap Takeover’. Pours a deep amber-brown with a small semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt first, a bit toffee-ish, followed by some dark fruit and a hint of hops. Slightly watery flavour of caramel malt, a touch buttery, and with a moderate bitter finish. Average bodied. Just good, didn’t do much for me. Sammy (12601) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2013
Dark brown body and lacy, roast/carmel/nutty. An Ok brown, hits the target, as far as browns go. More hops would be interesting. Nothing offensive, but also not so interesting.

2013-09-17. Lightly hazy mahogany brown body with a small tan head. The aroma is interesting, sweet malt, sort of caramel sweetness, with odd overtones I can’t place, hops. 6+ Flavour is similar, sweet up front with a slightly odd quality to it, sort of earthy smokey undertones. Fairly bitter in the finish. Smooth average bodied palate, very soft carbonation. I like the caramel quality of it but can’t quite get into it otherwise.
