March 26, 2014 - at Volo, on draught. Ruby-black with a smallish foamy beige head. Aroma is barrel (sweet and nutty, so yeah, port), bretty funkiness - damn! Taste is quite light, but lots of oak, alcohol - sweet and herbal, I get plum and ... green brett (8-). Light body, mild carbonation - maybe a tad watery - but pretty good stuff. The whole not quick as good as the elements - 14/20 without the drinkability. robinvboyer (4812) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 26, 2017
On tap at the brewpub.
Brewpub had it listed as a flemish sour red.
Pours a dark brown/red with a medium beige head. Aroma is strong, and tart, notes of vinegar, and sour, overly ripe cherries. Mouth feel is thin, carb is also very low. Finish is quite tart, with a strong vinegar character, not totally off putting, but not super inviting either. Not for the craft beer noobs. crazy_cat_lady (752) - - MAR 13, 2017
Bottle from bottle shop. Lovely bottle design. Dark brown with tan head. Strong aroma of sour grapes and tart cherries, wood, wine, some raisins and caramel. Similar flavours, with a strong woody character that lingers on the tongue. Tasty stuff. Tranquillity (2570) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 28, 2017
Draft. The body is red and brown and dark wihlth a small beige head. The aroma is cheery and citrus. The taste is funky, and has some herbal notes but it’s still sour. Sammy (13000) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2016
Surprisingly complex old ale, giving it a bit of flander red character. Good even if wine barrelling normally too much for you. VG drinkability.

My new fav beer, reminds me of visits to Belgium, where the tart and funky sharp aroma also comes back in the aftertaste but in-between is a mix of sweet and sour and wine and wood and everything great. So glad I bought 4 bottles, because this will age really well. The BIG bottle is perfect with diner guests and a bit too much all on my own. Cork was hard to get out as well, but that could be me. This is the beer I want to find in a small glass at the best beer bars, not another saison. thorongil2 (3569) - , Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2016
(tap) hazy bright reddish amber colour with a small beige head; sour and woody aroma; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter and sour finish mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2014
[6238-20140328] Tap. Sour barrel notes in the aroma. Dark brown red body with a quick foamy white head. Sour red wine barrel flavour has a woody grape aftertaste. Medium-full body. Seems a little young but is interesting. (7/3/8/3/14) 3.5

Bottle - Oak, soured cherry and dark malts. Cloudy brown with a rich light brown head. Raisin, prune, sour cherry and nice barrel notes. Reminds me of.a Flemish Red. Quite well done. jercraigs (11087) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 17, 2014
2014-03-28. Very dark brown body with a small beige head that fades. 3+ Aroma is fruity and vinous, sweet non descript malt below that. Flavour is lovely up front, fruity, lightly tangy, sort of vinous. Sweetish malt core but it finishes vinous with a light tangy undercurrent. Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate, modest carbonation could be a touch higher. Quite nice, rich, just a touch too much overall for me right now. Needs just a touch more of something (body? Base malt? Not sure. ) to go from very good to great. On tap at Volo, Toronto
