COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A key beer in the craft beer revolution. IPAs were originally made in the 1800’s in England with extra hops and alcohol to survive the long sea voyage from England to India for the troops there and became so popular for the refreshing bitter taste that the rest of the world soon caught on. When home brewers started experimenting in the 1970’s and 80’s this style led the way and today it is the most popular style of craft beer. Ours is an ‘homage to those first craft brewers that went looking for trouble.

Pours cloudy light amber colour with just a slight white head lacing the glass well. Mild citrus aroma. Taste is mild with medium bitterness and malt seems dominant.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2017 How have I never reviewed this. Sweet malt, pine hops and resin, little resin harshness. Mmmmmmm

Gluepot (664) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2017
A murky amber body reminiscent of apple cider topped by a well laced white head. The taste profile leads with citrus hop elements - grapefruit, orange and lemon. Mild bitterness but fresh. Some spice, grain and honey add to mix.

West Coast hop flavors with a nice nose and nice flavor on the tongue. Medium mouthfeel which is nice for the abv. Still sweet and citrus type hops.

on tap at beau’s oktoberfest 2016 - the craft haüs. hazy medium dark golden pour with a small very creamy white head, good retention and lacing. spicy/peppery melons and mangoes, golden fruity maltiness, bit of toasts - but no caramel per se; chalk, clean yeast action. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; balanced tropical-citrusy-grapefruity finish. between old-school and modern ipa - enjoyed this clearly above average ipa.

On tap at Beaus Oktoberfest. Sweet strawberries and pineapple aroma, with moderate sweet light caramel malt. Hazy dark gold under a persistent, lacy, white sheet. Grapefruit and resinous flavour balanced perfectly by light caramel malt backbone, which is likewise balanced by an assertive grapefruit peel bitterness. Medium light body, medium carbonation, crisp with bitterness.

My fav beer at the brewpub. Always fresh, such a big grapefruit aroma and punch - goes with their amazing food. Clean bitter finish leaves me wanting another every time.

Tap at Indie Alehouse in Toronto. Hazy amber with scattered off-white head leaving strong lace. Really sweet, dried and sugared tropical fruits, peach and mango, a bit cactusy even, aroma and flavour. Sweet with a mojito and cactus bitterness - this works really well together with the tropical fruits character. Doesn’t appear as too mawkish sweet luckily. Nice crispiness. Lovely brew, I’m a sucker for stuff like this.

(bottle) clear, bright orange amber colour with a medium tall beige head; aroma of stewed fruit, grapefruit; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Solid west coast ipa. Great aromas, of pine, resin, grapefruit. Flavour is bold and bitter with a creamy mouthfeel. Top 10 Ontario IPA for sure.

Thanks to my sis for this. Pours cloudy gold with a small white top. Aroma is small flower hop and earth malt. Would like the aromas pumped up. Taste though makes up for it as the floral and citrus hops punches you in the face with a nice biscuit malt that balances it out. Nice beer.
