July 19, 2013 - on draught at Indie Alehouse. Said "9% - but it’s definitely this beer. Hazy amber with a small creamy beige head. Smells sour, woody and a bit nutty, some alcohol (8-). Taste - wow - like sour orange bar mix (is there such a thing?) and bourbon - fades quickly, restrained alcohol. Slick, light, mild carbonation and quite tart, but a balancing sweet bourbon - that really comes together nicely ----- and I’m the bourbon hater!

[5595-20130719] Tap. Soured fruit skins aroma. Hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Sour cherry skins and wet wood booze flavour. Medium body. Delicious, great sour. (7/3/8/4/16) 3.8

My favourite beer to be had at Indie. Thin light head. Blond tan beer. Lovely light sourness, with cherries. Crisp carbonation.

2013-07-19. Hazy dark amber orange body nice creamy beige head. Aroma is interesting, oddly lactic funk and moderate bourbon character. Flavour starts with a healthy dose of bourbon up front. The sweet vanilla character of the bourbon contrasts with the tart sourness of the base beer. Bit of cherry like fruit notes. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Nice stuff. The bourbon and sourness have a very interesting interplay but the bourbon is nonetheless a bit strong for my admittedly conservative bourbon tolerance. On tap at Indie Alehouse, Toronto

5.5% A golden sour ale with a very thin off white head. In aroma, nice woodyness and bourbon with lactic notes. In mouth, sour puckering corky malt with intense bourbon barrel, wood extract, light fruity esters, cherries and licorice.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a deep copper-gold with a small semi-lasting fizzy white head. Nice aroma, sour and barrel-aged makes for an interesting combination., also fruity and spicy -- there’s lots going on. Sour flavour with some subtle barrel-ageing, it’s not overdone which is good. Some alcohol there. Medium bodied. Interesting and enjoyable.
