On tap. Hazy gold, delicate white head. Earthy, yeasty, coconut aroma. Hint of the berries. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Warms nicely. Balances with a slightly bitter finish. Didn’t get much of the fruit but this was a good saison.

Draft - Light citrus and plum. Clear copper with a decent white head. Very light, almost pomegranate, tart plum. Lots of odd flavours I can’t quite place and to subtle. OK.

2013-02-01 - on draught at Bar Hop. Heh - I think we had a pre-release sample of this up at Indie the month before; I was good then - I tried it, but didn’t take notes: I’m not THAT kind of rater. Ahem. This was at BH. Hazy gold with a decent creamy/frothy off-white head. Weird aroma, not great - grain, weeds, paper; touch of generic somewhat tart fruit - no coconut for me. Taste of raspberry, what was probably coconut milk - whatever, it was odd but not unpleasant - otherwise pretty standard somewhat sweet saison. Average everything, a hint of acidity, but sadly I got paper again in the quick finish; I will add two phantom points to the rating for how much better the pre-release sample was up at Indie the month before.

[5084-20130131] Tap. Raspberry fresh soap aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange body with a quick foamy white head. Fruity raspberry yeast flavour is light on the coconut. Medium body seems soft. Quite nice. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

On tap at Bar Hop. Cloudy golden yellow with a slight foamy head. Aromas of yeast and sweet tropical fruits. Flavours of sweet berries, slight bitter and some warming alcohol.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2017 2012-01-31. Lightly hazy golden orange with pink tinges around the edges. Small white head. 3+ Flavour is pleasant, refreshing raspberry, light toasty malt undertones, whispers of coconut if you look for it. 7+ Aroma is fruity, raspberry, light yeasty touches. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. Fruitier and possibly a bit more bitter than previous. Enjoyable. 7/3/7/3/15 On tap at Bar Hop, Toronto

2012-01-02. Hazy orange body with a small off white head. 3++ Very interesting aroma, fruity, sort of a mild tangy funky quality to it. 7++ Flavour is similar, pleasantly fruity with a hard to pinpoint twist - almost persimmon like up front - more obviously raspberry and coconut after its pointed out to me what it is, which is intriguing. Interesting raspberry and raspberry seeds in the finish. 7++ Perplexing up front, then very quaffable and quite refreshing. 7/4/7/3/16++ On tap at brewpub

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, smooth raspberry pulp with light fruity esters, OK. In mouth, a smooth raspberry, caramel malt, average fruit beer. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 2 2012.

Aromagrape , mild fruity hints , tea…tad muted.6+
Appearance hazed amber with medium lighter white top.
Flavor and Palate :Light bodied. Frontal raspberry , fairly true, coconut was hidden. Perhaps this was the source of silky texture (body). This would be solid choice for head wave days.

Bar Hop One Year Anniversary party. Lots of lace in this one, on ablond body. Yeasty, farmhouse yeast significant. Chocolate and orange taste, with some hops, and somewhat astringent finish.

weird, cool and refreshing all at once. Coconut is mild, berry is light, but it all works. Cool that these guys are trying new things.
