December 6, 2013 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Dark - deep ruby with a smallish but lasting creamy beige head. Mild aroma - some roast and sour berry; Taste - oh yeah - ripe berries and seeds - reminded me of raspberry/blueberry - and yes, a bit nutty too. Average body, light acidity/astringency, airy, quick-finishing - clean and a bit tart, really grew on me.

Basic brown beer. The haskap berries adding a little edge, and added a bit of drinkability.Deep brown.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown with hints of orange and moderate-sized light tan head. Aroma is nutty and toasty with an unusual fruitiness. Interesting flavour with the odd fruitiness, lightly roasty malt and nuts. Different, probably not really my thing but certainly respectable.

Pint at the brewpub. Notes of hazelnut and a faint dried fruit on the finish. My how I miss this brewpub. What's next? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013-11-23. Dark brown body with a small beige head. 3++ Lightly tangy malty character, the flavour is lightly nutty throughout. Lightly roasty toasty nutty aroma is mild but pleasant. Smooth average plus body, modest carbonation. Enjoyable. On tap at the brewpub, Toronto

[Draught at brewpub.] Pours a very dark brown with a small semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Mild aroma is malty, fruity and nutty with light leafy hops -- simple but nice. Flavour follows, malty and nutty mainly along with light leafy hops and adds some coffee notes. Average to medium bodied. Not a huge fan of Nut Browns but this is a good version of the style.
