Bottle in tulum mexico. Pale. Very watery and kinda off flavor. Finishes with pale malt and skunkiness. Generic and pretty bad.

My Bottom Line:
Mild caramel and vague hop bitterness coexist lackadaisically in this forgettable brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the deep amber.
-At first, I thought it was interesting that the masses in Mexico City drank a beer this dark. But then I tasted it and realized there wasn’t much specialty malt flavor in here at all... Oh well...
-This is strangely drier and more drinkable than MANY artisanal brews produced in the Mexico City area.
-Malts are poorly defined in the flavor profile.

8/20/14. Super random tick during a VORLAUF meeting thanks to Bill as I recall! Light, clear amber pour with a small frothy khaki head. Plain aroma, husky malts, light caramel, corn and oxidation, corn chips. Plain flavor, not awful, not great, light caramel, some floral aspects, corn chips. Eh.

BLADT (700) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 12, 2014
Bottle. Handsome amber with white topper. Mild aroma corn, paper and musk. Taste is clean and light. A bit sweet. Light aspartame on close. Better than most bodega beers in Mexico.

Smooth brown ale very good taste and very refreshing good beer for a Mexican beer they all seem light

Smells of a typical brown ale malt aroma. Appearance is an appealing copper brown body but not spectacular. Flavour is watery malt, like it’s trying to be a dark beer for people who don’t like dark beers. Weak on the mouth. It is not great at what it does.

decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 23, 2014
Pale yellow pour with white head. Corn, and light oxidation on the nose. Flat paper, floral hops, and oxidation on the flavor. Light bodied and fizzy. Bad when the high light of a beer is less oxidation that you expected.

Bottle. Head is initially small, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain, nuts, husks, caramel). Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Almost odorless, just some crude malt really. This brewery is still clearly better than Modelo, though. I freely admit to having consumed a sixer of Bohemia mindlessly by the pool/beach during this vacation...one of the few Mexi-macros that is well balanced, not too horribly husky/dirty, and actually has clear hop aroma.
