Darkish pour - clear; light khaki head. Good label, standard US longneck. Malty lager aroma. Clean, slightly malty/dark syrupy, low hop bittering but some grain bitterness. Generally pretty bland and cereal dominated. Medium mouthfeel. Quick finish, slightly toasted aftertaste. Some Valero station, Houston.

Poured a thin layer of head on a clear, caramel colored body. The aroma is heavy on the malt, lots of caramel and a touch of lemon. The taste is mild to moderately malt sweet without any complexity though. It taste fine, just not interesting. The texture is sticky with moderate carbonation. Not bad, not great.

12floz/355ml bottle into a Sam Adams glass. Served cold. Aroma: Very mild. Hardly anything going on. Some Wonder Bread-esque malt. Appearance: A crystal clear, red-brown body with an incredibly fizzy, instantly-dissipating head. Taste: Mild malt. Not bitter at all. Hardly any flavor. Palate: Very light bodied. Quite fizzy. Ends on malt. Overall: People came in for weeks harassing us for this beer where I work. We eventually caved and bought cases of six packs and 12 packs. It’s not very good or flavorful. Negra Modelo is better.

Nice amber colour, with no head. High carbonation, refreshing, not astringent, not hoppy. Sweet malts and some caramel somewhere. Not a Corona nor Tecate, thats for sure.

Bottle at Coba temple, Quintanna Roo. Barely discernible from the Pacifico lager I consumed with gusto moments prior to popping the top on this critter. Nothing is more refreshing after climbing a Mayan Temple in the scorching heat of the Yucatan. Again, most Mexican beers taste the same after the third one here....

Light Brown, Small Head, Minimal Lacing. Wow. Mexico has something else other than Corona style Lager... Sweet malt, Barely noticeable bitterness. Nothing special, but then again, easy to drink . Decent.

355ml bottle. Very generic dark lager. Nothing really good or really bad sbput this one. Good alternative to cervesa style beers in Mexico if you find it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

1.2 Litre bottle drank off the coast of Mexico in my Cunard Stateroom on 31 Jan 2013. I really enjoyed this: it had a good amber body and was clean and clear looking, a thin off-white head sat on top of each pour. Maltier than I expected and overall a fine (for such a cheap brew) beer. Refreshing and tasty (the malts giving it some flavour and sweetness, the hops giving some bite).

A reddish copper beer with a thin off white head. In aroma, clasaic lager with mineral notes, and light sulfur. In mouth, a watery caramel with grassy german hops, soapy and mineral. Bottle from Oxxo, 10 pesos.
