COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Hvede I.P.A.

Golden with a white head - wheat, malt and some floral hops in the aroma - Good body with wheat, malts, some spicy yeast and hints of bitterness - short malts and floral hops in the finsih - This was quite nice

(Bottle) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, citrus, orange peel, wheat, bread and a touch of toast. Fruity, wheat taste with apricots, peaches, orange, pineapple, bread, a certain wheat character and a balanced floral bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty wheat beer with a fresh hop character. Quite nice.

On tap. Hazy golden, small white head. Nose is fruity. Taste a the expected mix between IPA and wheat, not a big fan. Its bitter it first, then has a sweet wheaty finish. Carbonation is soft.

50 cl bottle, 5.5% abv. Yellow golden colour, little head. bitter-sweet taste with sour flowery notes, almost like using bret (which does not appear to be the case). Refreshing style but nothing impresive.

Sweet fresh hops w sugar and yeast. Pale yellow w white head. Funny sweet and sour. Nice refreshing bitterness in the finish but I don?t know if the combo of the two styles does anything for either.

PotjeBier (3838) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 1, 2013
Sample from tap, at Copenhagen Cooking (Danske Ølenthusiaster event @ Frederiksberg). Cloudy yellow color. Dense white head. Aroma’s: Sour/citrus, pineapple, wheat. Wheat & banana retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, herbal-spicy with a light bitterness (like a well hopped Weizenbier). Light bodied. Finishes with a light bitterness. Pretty nice.

[email protected] Nelson, Copenhagen - Golden pour with a diminishing medium white head. As well as the wheat there are many strong hoppy notes coming through, almost like a hybrid cross between a weissbeer and a IPA. It definitely works for me though.
