COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Good easter-beer-hefeweizen, for the big food table, fresh and fruity, also after the dinner.

Tap at D. Louise. Cloudy. Yeasty banana and cloves, wheat, straw and citrus, floral hops. Light sweet and light bitter. Medium body and watery texture.

Golden colour with white foam. Light aroma of flowers and citrus. Very light taste of malt at most.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copenhagen 12/3 2016. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Blue label with a yellow ribbon and a snowdrop to signify that this is a Easter seasonal. Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is fruty but not in the lemonadelike way that’s characteristic of many wheat beers. Citrus sourness and a bit tart. Fizzy carbonation and watery palate. Taste is quite sweet without tasting like lemonade. Medium bitterness with a little sourness in the aftertaste. Pretty light and fresh spring beer. Easily forgotten but very refreshing.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, many thanks! Quite clear golden appearance with white head. Some floatees in there, but not really hazy. Aroma is quite Helles-like, not so much bananas, rather a clean grassy feeling with extra spices. Yeah, root beer sorta cuts it. Taste is herbs, sugar coating, bitter grains, earthy finish. The mouthfeel is a bit wheaty-silky, yes, it’s also a bit tangy. I don’t recognize the Weizen-ness in the flavour, though. Meh.

There is used hops in an amount so that it can be tasted! Behind its otherwise excellent hoppy bitterness the conclusion is adds some floral notes, I find what is most like a Belgian wit. It has lovely notes of little orange peel and has wheat beers distinctive stamp of fresh grain and natural sweetness.
