UPDATED: FEB 3, 2013 Bottle. This is how good beer tastes! Pours dark brown/black with a creamy and lasting brown head. Aroma is smoke and roasted coffee beans, but wine and fruit is also present. The taste is well balanced between bitter and sweet. Body is creamy and smooth with soft carbonation. Finish is coffee, liquorice and dark chocolate, but there’s also hints of camp fire smoke. This is one of my absolute favorites. PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2007
Black, unclear with tall, medium lasting beige head. Coffeeish aroma with roasted malts and notes of smoke. Flavour with more coffee, licorice, roasted malts, some underling malty sweetness. Schwartzbrot. Notes of wheat and yeast too? Even fruity notes of black currant... Sugarsticky palate. Drink with yeast deposit. Overall very drinkable brew in perfect balance. Impressive. Its a stout not a dunkel weizen... skrasmussen (2) - USA - AUG 15, 2010 does not count
Sort Hvede ligger på min personlige top 5, en fantastisk hvedeøl som kan drikkes hele året... Jonathank (5) - Middelfart, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2012 does not count
coffee, roasty, black, frothy, medium bitterness, creamy, flat, smoke
This beer produced near Middelfart, Denmark, is totally exceptionally.
I have tasted a lot of dark wheat beers, but you never find something like this uniq beer.
It combinates the wheat beers creamy characteristic with the taste of a mild stout or porter. The head has a nice balance, so it does’nt end up vulgar in the combination of the smoke, coffee and creamy liquare.
I will urge everyone to try this beer. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JUL 17, 2011
Bottle, vin-og-gaver.dk. Instant coffee and chocolate aroma, leading into a great richly flavoured beer, with raisins and dark fruit prominent. Always been a fan of Dunkelweiss beers and this would fit that category beautifully. Doesn’t have the harshness of some stouts, it’s rounded, smooth, packed full of flavour and has just enough sweetness, without being overpowering.

Smell of smoked ham. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of smoke, yeast, some banana, tar and some coffee. Stout dominates, weizen comes in finish. Really nicely balanced combo, albeit twisted. This one deserves the rare 20. Gubihumle (598) - Nørre Aaby, DENMARK - DEC 11, 2015
Sort hvede er efter min mening den bedste øl Indslev har brygget indtil dato.
Den kan jeg kun medgive mine bedste anbefalinger. TEJA (3010) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden.
Thick and fluffy long lasting brown head. Inpenetrable black color. Darc malty aroma from black malts with a tuch of chocolate. Very smooth taste from dark malts and some residual sweetness combined with the wheat maltiness makes it a easy to drink stout. I have never tried such a stout and get inspired to brew one in the near future. A really nice beer for the autom eavnings when the rain is pouring and no sun in sight. This beer lightens the day up.
