Citrusy Cardamom from Indus Pride, a unique beer with a dash of floral, highly aromatic cardamom spice balanced with delicate citrus notes awarding a hint of cooling. Savour with pride. Presenting Indus Pride, the first Indian specialty beer made exclusively for the refined Indian palate. Indians have always had a taste for the finer things in life, whether it is for music, the arts or food. Indus Pride is a tribute to this exquisite sense of taste. It also has the distinction of being the first Indian beer to be brewed with spices and the choicest hops to create a taste that’s distinctly Indian. Which is why we believe the beer is not just ‘Made in India’, but ‘Made for India’. Cardamom, a true native spice, is better known as Elaichi. It is also referred to as the Queen of Spices because of its pleasant aroma and taste. Frequently used to flavour teas and Indian cuisine, the unique aroma and flavour of cardamom was carefully blended with hops. The result, we are pleased to report, is a beer with sweet floral spicy notes of citrus elements.

Cleary yellow color beer basically with no head. Aroma is malty with spicy and citric notes. Flavor is malt sweet, breadish, with a very low bitterness, more towards the end. Watery body and very low carbonation.

Bottle. Clear golden amber beer with small head. Aroma of green cardamon. Taste is cardomon, spices and lager malts. I love cardomon, its my favourite spice. This worked in a way but too watery and lagerish.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2012 330ml fresh from Goa big thanks to Nav. Amazed 20 Danes haven’t already rated a bottle. This bottle for sale in Goa only, ’brewed and bottled by Skol Breweries Ltd, Aurangabad, Maharashtra’- apologies admins if it needs to be moved, I followed the SAB Miller link and it took me to Indus Pride. Pours bright and lagery with a fast-thinning bleached white foam. Brazen, chai-like soapy cardamom nose with hints of sweet vegetable. Pleasantly perfumed flavour with a squirt of cleaning product. Watery finish bereft of bitterness. Mmm ’permitted plant extracts’. Thins to headlessness. Hint of dough. Would be difficult to session and impossible to drink if you didn’t like cardamom but luckily I love it.
