Clear dark amber beer, good cream coloured head. Light palate, crispy and a little dry. A little creamy malt with a toffee streak. A light touch of spice and some bubblegum ester buried underneath. Dried fruits and a trace of vanilla oak. Finishes smooth and semi dry. Well joined up and tasty. The only minus point is a little paper.

Nice amber color with copper hue; medium sized compact head. Light aroma of caramel. Medium body, pleasant but simple toffee flavor, some toasted notes, some sweet wood, oak; the bitterness is quite low.
As many other Innis & Gunn beers, not bad, but inoffensive.

LCBO Bottle. Big soapy head. Malt aromas. Ruby highlights. Decent drinkability despite slightly light mouthfeel, with a little astringency from the wood. The wood aroma and taste comes out better at room temp. A little hops in the finish douglas88 (9573) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 26, 2012
12 ounce bottle. A boxing day brew! Pours a ruddy color with a small beige head. A sweet nose of berries. Toffee, caramel, light oak, more massive berries, strawberry and some light tartness. Finises with tobacco, sweet molasses. Pretty good.
