12 ounce bottle. A boxing day brew! Pours a ruddy color with a small beige head. A sweet nose of berries. Toffee, caramel, light oak, more massive berries, strawberry and some light tartness. Finises with tobacco, sweet molasses. Pretty good. rwgould (331) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 29, 2012
0.33l bottle from LCBO; comes in a box. Pours a transparent golden brown, with a small beige head that dissipates very quickly. Aroma: Malt, maple, toffee, hints of banana, caramel, very very sweet. Palate: Medium bodied, creamy, slightly syrupy. Smooth finish. Taste: Strong maple/toffee combination. Very very sweet. Less vanilla when compared to last year, I find. Still good, but not as good as I remembered it. shaynsawchuk (713) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 26, 2012
330 mL bottle. Pours a rich mahogany with a medium tan head, lots of lacing. Great on the nose, aromas of yeast, vanilla, rum, raisin, spice and toffee. Taste is big sweet malt in the forefront. Mellows out to a creamy woody finish, not a lot in the way of hops. Thick on the palate medium carbonation and full body, lots of texture. Another good special edition from I&G, now if only I had a steak and kidney pie to wash this down with. vtafro (7444) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - AUG 28, 2012
Bottle. Brown pour with tan head. Cinnamon, spice, sweet malts and some woody aromas. Sweet vanilla, light spice, malt and woody flavors.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark clear copper color with light head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of malt and caramel with a hint of wood. Definite oakiness but not overbearing. Additional flavors of sweet toffee, roasted malts, and vanilla, just like the description. Very nice. VT (2527) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 27, 2012
330 ml bottle. Pours a clear orange amber with a nice, resilient white head. Smell is oak and cherry. Taste is caramel, toffee, brown sugar, a touch of wood. Very sweet. Some subtle earthy bitterness, along with quite a bit of cherry and fruits. Wood is felt post-gulp. Light bodied. Excellent, very good beer! wheresthepath (2395) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2013
(From Beers of Europe) Deep amber, small off-white head. Vanilla, oak and toffee. Definitely Innis & Gunn then! As with all their beers it may be too sweet for some but I think it’s full of flavour and a great laid back mellow late night beer. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2013
Bottle (clear glass, but kept in the gift box since I got it last year). Lovely red-copper-orange colour with a very faint haze and a small off-white head. Aroma of vanilla candy, sweet toffee, rye whisky and a hint of Cherry Coke. Rye is much more prominent in the flavour, along with bit of butterscotch toffee, and finishing notes of tart cherry and oak. Medium bodied with a mellow carbonation and soft finish. Quite nice, even with more than a year of aging on it. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 2, 2014
Pours a fairly clear brown colour with a small spotty white head. Aroma is oak, toffee, vanilla, toffee, moderately spicy, some mild dark fruity esters and lightly grassy. Flavour is toffee, vanilla, oak, spice(clove and allspice I think), caramel, mild alcohol, grass mild dark fruity esters and a dry finish. Very enjoyable!
