COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special bottling of Innis&Gunn has been matured in rare oak barrels from a famous distillery in Ireland. These barrels had been used to mature one of the great triple distilled Irish whiskeys. The result of this unique maturation is a big, full flavoured, complex beer with a delightful warming finish.

Flaska från systemet - doftar stekos. Mörk färg, extremt söt, näst intill sliskigt. Ingen beska alls. En viss rökighet känner man samt lite brända toner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well, my love for stouts must be diminishing. This doesn’t have that strange nitro feeling their other beers have, but it also just isn’t all that good for me. Stout in body, but a bit sweet. Nothing special.

Pours nearly black with a tan head. Aroma of sweet malt and dark chocolate. Similar flavor. Definitely syrupy.

Bottle to stout glass. Deep cola pour with a thin brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is really weak for me with some sweetness and some whiskey coming through a bit. The taste is sweet caramel malt, sweet whiskey, sweet oak. It's really sweet. The finish is a bit thin for a stout. Pretty good but nothing crazy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Very dark pour, nearly black but not quite opaque, with a foamy head. Aroma is some oak, whiskey and dark fruits. Flavour is quite sweet, plum, cherry, oaky with a whiskey finish. This is not anywhere near a stout, much closer to a Belgian strong dark ale, but still tasty. Lighter body but lots of flavour, not bad.

Colour off dark coffee with a cola like head. Sweet aroma hunting of chocolate liqueur. Flavour is surprisingly bright and sweet. Very refreshing with hints of crisp apples in the back end.

Nice dark stout that has a head of dark red/caramel. Aroma is very robust with oak and whiskey notes. Taste follows through.

From a bottle. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Dark porter-like appearance with a brownish head that quickly disappears. Flavour is black coffee and dark chocolate. Full bodied with brown sugar sweetness in the finish.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2015 Very sweet, definitely at the forefront making it instantly noticeable as non-sessionable. Little to no hop presense, not getting any wood/oak indicators. Roasted malt character, some caramel and toffee. Slight warmth in the finish brings a whiskey comparison. Very smooth with the warmth.

Almost syrupy sweet with a faint whiskey note. Dark in color with a tan head. Smells boozy.
