COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special bottling of Innis&Gunn has been matured in rare oak barrels from a famous distillery in Ireland. These barrels had been used to mature one of the great triple distilled Irish whiskeys. The result of this unique maturation is a big, full flavoured, complex beer with a delightful warming finish.

Bottle. Black colour with large creamy light brown mostly lasting head. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of wiskey. Spicy flavor. Creamy palate.

Good and very scent. Decent with flavor. Not so much to taste. I do not really know what to think about this beer. But it was okay to drink.

Draft at brews. pours black with almost no head. There is seriously like no aroma to this brew, i get a slight smokey chocolate aroma, needs an aroma boost for sure. Taste is so so, hints of dark fruit and semi sweet chocolate, not getting anything from the barrel. meh.

Draft. It is a smoky, baconny beer that would fit more under the smoked category. By far the best beer from these guys. Ironically it is on tap.

Pours black with a marginal head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and slight whiskey aroma. Taste is chocolatey, coffee, roasted nut. Bold taste that fades to a slight metallic taste. Still quite yummy.

This beer is all about the malt! Starts of with chocolate, roasted malts, nougat!Vanilla, slight buttery(probably from the casks). As the temp increases in draws toward coffee and caramell. The taste immmediately hits you with roastedmalts, dark chocolate, a little alcohol, coffee.Ashy finish. Palate is thinner than I thought it would be... But in all a very good beer!

Good, complex beer. The whiskey flavor wasnt overpowering like most whiskey casks are.

Since I was unable to find any unrated Irish beers locally to serve St partys party I grabbed a scottish beer aged in Irish whiskey cask. And since I am unable to keep beer in fridge without drinking I enjoyed one 4 days prior to party. Pours dark brown with little head that quickly disappears. Nose is light chocolate and whiskey. Tastes of light Irish whiskey and chocolate, malt, earth, and root beer. All flavors are subtle and its not too sweet but a touch thin

Pours a dark brown with quickly fading offwhite head. Aromas are very malty...lots of bread, rye, yeast, and some coffee. Flavours are malts, dried fruit, bread, and some peat and whiskey notes. A fine offering by innis and gunn.
