COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special bottling of Innis&Gunn has been matured in rare oak barrels from a famous distillery in Ireland. These barrels had been used to mature one of the great triple distilled Irish whiskeys. The result of this unique maturation is a big, full flavoured, complex beer with a delightful warming finish.

Bottle 330 ml
Aroma: caramel, hint of dark roast, spice, pepper, candy with coffee top end. Solid. 8-
Look: hazed dark brown ale with lighter tanned top.
Taste/Body/Palate: medium bodied with lighter sides. Wonderful play of caramel, smoke , malts and alcohol. Very well balanced , perhaps tad on sweet side. Notion of night fire pit party at farm land sweeten with marshmallows and spiked with cheep fruit wine. Instant classic.

March 17, 2013; 7.4% abv, 650 mL, tulip Nice dark chocolate and coffee aromas. Some cherry tartness cuts through the roasted flavours. Whiskey malts and vanilla also make it in there. Dark used motor oil colour with deep tan head of about 1 inch. Shrinks down pretty fast but leacves nice lace. Roast chocolate and coffee dominate with some light acidity. Booze kicks in with nice sweet whiskey flavours - nutmeg, smoke, sweet jerky, vanilla, other spices of some sort. Smooth milky mouthfeel and sharp carbonation lets your swirl this in your mouth a bit. This is surprisingly good. The sweetness, booze, and whiskey flavours makes this pretty enjoyable.

Black and opaque with a tan colored head that was long lasting. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation and short a finish. Roasted, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and whiskey in the aroma. Not boozy. More dry than I was expecting, but a nice chocolate malt flavor. Paired nicely with dessert, but would have left me wanting more alone.

330 ml bottle. Pours dark brown bording to black with massive orange-brown head. Aroma is smokey, roasted, wood and sweet with whisky notes. Taste is sweet, woody, whisky and alcohol in a good balance. This was surprisingly good!

First try - v bad. Feb 2012 - second try not great. Quite bad actually. I certainly wouldn’t have this again. No balance, sharp. I’ve really got nothing good to say about it.

Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2013
Darkest brown, faint ruby hue, small mocha head fades. Muted aroma of sweet roasted malt. Dark sweet burnt malts, toffee, oaky vanilla, dark fruit and some chocolate. Softly carbed, medium bodied, low hopped. Where’s the whisky? Rich and creamy, overly sweet, cloying in the finish. Bleh. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
