COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special bottling of Innis&Gunn has been matured in rare oak barrels from a famous distillery in Ireland. These barrels had been used to mature one of the great triple distilled Irish whiskeys. The result of this unique maturation is a big, full flavoured, complex beer with a delightful warming finish.

Bottle at Red Dog Wine and Spirits. Pours dark brown with a dissipating head. Aroma of rich malts and whisky. Lighter side of medium bodied with semi soft carbonation. Basically your typical malty British beer with tons of Irish Whisky. Boozy and unbalanced, unless you love Irish whisky.

Definitely one of best Scottish Ales I have tried. One of few that I find comparable to GK Willies from Black Ice Brewing. Prominent chocolate malt, hints of vanilla and dry fruit. Whiskey and oak are also present but not overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, early 2017. Vanilla, light coconut, red berries, very faint roasted note. Sweet while the body is light, the finish short and the flavour watery. Mediocre.

Draft taproom. Pours clear brown with a sizeable beige head. Aroma is cherry, wood, alcohol. Flavor is earthy, woody, tart cherry, whiskey. Pretty nice.

I found this beer in my basement and I think it's time to try. Pours black with a thin off white head. Aroma is up roasted malts a bit of chocolate and a hint of whiskey. Taste of Irish whiskey but it's not overpowering it's still really good, smooth. Overall a lot easier to drink than a lot of American barrel-aged beers but it's retired so I guess I won't drink it again.

Many thanks to shopkeeper from Abbot's Ale House for this sweet memory.

Whiskey, walnuts, raisins, dates and another dried dark fruits, nougat, alcohol and wild almonds in finish. Medium body, low carbonation, but still pleasantly warming.
Very good, enjoyable.

11.2oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a moderate creamy tan head. Aroma is wood, whiskey residue, faint vanilla, tobacco, and some soap. Taste is caramel, some whiskey, wood, light fudgy chocolate, and a little grain. Lightly bitter finish - with lots of boozy whiskey. Light-medium body. Average carbonation. Watery-oily mouthfeel.

Pours black and opaque with a one-finger tan head with an aroma of malt, oak and whiskey. Tastes of lively carbonation upfront with a light coffee body and mild oak, whiskey finish. It’s light bodied.
