""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

From bottle in snifter. Pours amber with aroma of vanilla and malt. Barrel aging makes for a smooth, easy drinking ale with nice subtle influences from the oak.

11.2oz bottle - it pours a rich bronze color with a thin off white head. Faint aroma of toffee, woody whiskey, caramel and vanilla. Good but not bold flavors of smooth vanilla caramel, oak, a hint of smoky isle scotch and toffee. Slightly thin.

CanCrusher (1022) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 6, 2016
Bottle 0,33L. Clear copper color with small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, toffee, vanilla and cask wood. Light sweet at the beginning, slowly turns to light bitter with a lot of toffee and wood in the mouthfeel. Some (not so aggressive) pepper in the aftertaste. Well rounded and nicely balanced beer.

0,33 l bottle. Pours clear golden orange with small off white head, good retention. Aroma is dominated by wood and liquor (whiskey). Some toffee is present and light floral and herbal hop notes. Taste is light sweet and moderate woody bitterness. Body is medium, slick with light carbonation. Maybe too much wood for my taste, but this is decent brew.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy copper pour with thin and frothy white head. Very good retention. Interesting smell, lots of wood, touch of liquor. Medium body with oily texture. Soft carbonation adds to the overall smooth feel. Moderately bitter with slightly sweet aftertaste. Lovely aroma, strong wood presence, liquor, herbs, vanilla, caramel. Very smooth, lovely balanced. Boozy and warming aftertaste. Overall, very nice brew. Perfect drink for winter evenings.

Aroma: caramel/ toffee malt, faint floral hops, oak wook and leaves, old whiskey or rum, pain dpices (underneath) ; Appearance: clear amber, minimal head ; Taste: medium sweetness, very lightly bitter ; Palate: medium body, slightly oily feel, soft carbonation, not very long finish, a little bitterness at the end. A very scottish tasting beer that made me feel a little like I was drinking a light whiskey. Overall: this beer offers a high degree of aromatic complexity, albeit based on a otherwise fairly average and somewhat disappointing basis.
