""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bottle from my neighbor. Sweet, boring oaked beer. Not particularly strong or oaky. Malt forward, no perceptible hops. Bland and unremarkable. Would drink again for free.

Bottle @home. Pours amber/golden, slight white head which goes v.quickly. Nose is huge vanilla (and i love vanilla but this is terrible) hugely sweet, marsh-mallow, overly sweet. Taste is sweet, sugar, candi sugar sweetness, slight banana and vanilla. Huge honey. One of the very few beers i have had to drain pour.

Among my favorite Ales from the bottle, copper-golden, rich in taste, malt and hops, well-balanced.

330 ml single bottle from Molly’s Spirits. Golden to amber colored and clear in appearance with a diminishing beige head. Malt-forward aroma with notes of caramel, toffee, mild oak, light vanilla and a touch of citrus zest. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness and a hint of hop bitterness. Medium body with a smooth finish. Solid.

Maits (556) - ESTONIA - AUG 23, 2017
Clear amber copper coloured beer with thin head. Aroma is oak, caramel and malts. Taste is toasted bread, burnt caramel spicy citrus and oaks. Descent warming finish.

Pours a thin foamy white head. Has a rusty light amber appearance, quite clear. Thick lacing. Aromas of caramel malts and subtle oak notes. Also raisins, dark fruits and mild spices. Flavours are strong caramel malts, resin and spice hops. Oak comes through in the finish. Also some toasty and toffee malt notes with hints of vanilla. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Has a slick and drying sensation on the palate. Pretty good and aged in oak wood barrels really does come through. Very good stuff!
