""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2017 This was a great find today. A very tasty bottle. Nutty and malty with that delicious barrel/scotchy taste. All without being too heavy.

craftyrocker (85) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 10, 2017
330mL bottle (old gold and red label), BB Nov 17. $3.50 in the bargain trolley. Appearance: Amber body. Off-white head. 3 Aroma: Oak, spice, caramel and honey. 8 Taste: Woody/oak with bourbon sweetness. Interesting but lacks structure without much malt. Awkward hollow finish. Moderate bitterness. 7 Palate: Thin body, overcarbonated. 1 Overall: The oak notes differentiate it from other beers, but the beer remains one dimensional. 14

Buena cerveza de cuerpo denso, sabor a malta con toques de madera seguramente debido a su maceración en barril

Aus der kleinen Flasche getrunken (Danke an Constanze fürs Mitbringen). Sehr weich. Die Eichennoten kommen gut im Antrunk durch. Später ins Wässrige gehend.

Bottle, small creamy bubbly head, clear light brown to dark red color, aroma of dark honey, nuts and minerals, flavor of nuts, vanila, caramel, some light fried fruits and an earthy hintm quite sweet but just a hint of bitterness complementing, carbonation a but too intrusive. Nice and enjoyable.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2017 Vanilla notes on the nose. A little boozy but the subtle bourbon sweetness comes through and brings a lot more depth of flavour

Helder licht roodbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht zoet met sporen van vanille, ietwat toffee, karamel en honing.
