Brewed by Belhaven for Innis & Gunn
Originally marketed simply as Innis & Gun Oak Aged Beer. "Original" was added later.

Ingredients: Golden Promise and crystal malt; Phoenix hops.
""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

Bottle. Poured well with a good head. Detected a slight skunkiness, probably because of the clear bottles used. Has notes of vanilla, oak, scotch, and butter. I enjoyed this as something different, and really liked the ’buttery scotch’ flavors.

Bottle at home. A pretty pour with a deep dark colour and a good head. The aroma was gentle whisky and vanilla. The flavour was strong whisky and vanilla with plenty of malt to add to the profile. The alcohol was strong, but balanced by the other flavours and the mouthfeel was pleasing. This was good, but too rich to be sessionable.

Clear red-brown beer with short cream colored head, smell is like Pils, light sweet, grass, taste is watery, thin texture, light body, average carbonation, very light oaks, light sweet, (I have 0.33l bottle with best-before 31.08.2018 and batch L7233 11:48)

Bottle. Poured clear light amber, foamy white head. Aroma of oak, sweet fruit, vanilla, caramel. Taste was light bitter, malty, vanilla.

Kolor miedziany klarowny, taka mocniejsza herbatka. Smak: tutaj podobnie, zdecydowanie wyraźniejsze nuty "ryżowe" mniej wanili i kokosa, niestety. Delikatna kwaskowatość i akcenty karmelowe.

I min smak, men inga överraskningar.

Sehr gut. Mir schmeckts.
