""""For 30 days this honey-hued beer sleeps in hand selected oak barrels, locked inside a bonded warehouse, gradually assimilating the subtle flavours that reside in the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days in a marrying tun where these natural flavours infuse and fall into perfect balance. This 77-day process is unique and produces a delicious, refreshing beer: Aromas of vanilla and toffee, hints of citrus, with a malty, lightly oaked, palate. Deftly balanced and light in texture, soothing and warming in the finish.""""

From a 330ml bottle on 8/11/2012. Pours golden with a tiny head which disappears immediately. Has a sweet malty aroma with toffee, caramel and vanilla all present. The flavour is similar with lots of sweet toffee and caramel up front, along with a touch of booziness, The oak is quite noticeable, with the beer exhibiting a light but distinct scotch whiskey like finish. The bitterness is medium and the texture is slightly oily. An interesting and enjoyable beer.

Bottled 0,33L. Dark and hazy orange color, charged aspect with solid head resistance. Unusual sweetish and cognac nose, aroma of caramel and sweet woody. Unstable and very unbalanced taste, strong alcoholic and too much sweet body, mellow and warm mouth.

Pale, clear amber, almost no (white) head. Aroma is pale and subtle. Notes of honey, wood, caramel and malts. Light body, a bit watery. Taste is sweet. Grassy hops, a bit of honey, caramel and a light oak flavor. It has a pilsner-ish feeling. It is a nice surprise, but too simple.

Orange/red robe, no foam. Nose with oak notes and caramel malt close to a sweet whisky. Medium body, quite sweet, aromas of caramel and whisky. Finish is juste some liquorous sweetness. Not totally bad but quite sickening, wouldnt be able to drink the whole bottle.

Madera sutil y aromas tostados. Color cobrizo, con cabeza blanca que se desvanece. De cuerpo ligero a mediano, de carbonatacin media. El sabor es un poco dulce, con algunas nueces y notas de madera. Retrogusto dulce. Demasiada vainilla para mi gusto.

Pours with an okay foam. Color is whisky. Aroma is whiskey like having strong "barrel-matured aroma", highlands whisky and some fermented dark fruits (plums, dates and such). Taste is sweet and has cooked mushrooms, caramel ice cream, some sweet citrus notes and a plethora of other tastes. The taste of this is very complex and thus interesting. Its a good beer, with a very unique and luxurious aroma and taste. I like it and will want to try more beer from this brewery.

$2.90 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Golden with hints of amber and a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is grassy, grain, wheat. Flavor is grainy as all hell. Corn, grass, wheat, toffee, caramel, cardboard. About $2.00 overpriced.
