3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
02/02/2010. 330ml bottle, courtesy of Highlandlad. Perfumy brown ale, smoky at first but becoming an intoxicating mix of alcohol and spice, with a slender grainy sweet body and a long dry (slightly green) oaky finish. I’ve had a bit of a mixed bag from these guys but this one is quite a decent step up. Cheers Highlandlad!
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2018 11.2 oz bottle from backlog notes (2013). Pours a clear amber/copper color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor caramel, dark fruit, light rum, light wood, pale malts, nothing bad, just soft. Grumpelmies (431) - GERMANY - JAN 6, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 6, 2018 Bottle. Dark ruby/mahagony with a decent white head. Some lacing. Aroma of rum, wood, brown sugar and dark fruits. Taste is rum sweetness, malts, a little bit of wood, some raisins and sugar. The rum is really present in this one. Medium carbonation. Balanced but I somehow wish it had something more to offer. Still nice though. sturgem82 (20) - - JAN 2, 2018
Rum and beer. What a combo. Need I say more. It risked being too good to be true but this beer delivered

I tried this from a brown bottle and it is labeled 6.8%. Dark amber color. the aroma has brown sugar and sweet malt. I do find this warming. Alcohol in the aroma as well. Flavor has malt sweetness, and sugar, I can taste the rum. Nice palate. The alcohol is there but not overwhelming. Well done. vlada94 (254) - Nis, SERBIA - DEC 16, 2017

6,8% "Innis & Gunn Rum Finish" op het etiket. Heler amber/rood koperkleurig bier met weinig wit schuim. Geur: moutzoet, licht fruitig, wat hout, ietwat leder. Smaak: zoet, karamel, wat melasse, licht fruitig, lichte rum toets. Volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet, hout en wat kruiden op het einde. ronaldtheriot (2019) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - NOV 30, 2017
Innis & Gunn Rum Aged Ale has a thin-to-medium ivory head, a chestnut brown, clear appearance, with some ascending bubbles and sheet glass lacing. Aroma is not strong, but some liquor, oak, and malt can be detected. Taste is of brown sugar, moderately-toasted malt, vanilla, oak, and a touch of balancing bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Innis & Gunn Rum Aged Ale finishes mostly dry. RJT Tasche39 (472) - SPAIN - NOV 27, 2017
Cerveza con sabor a maltas caramelizadas y un sabor a madera algo artificial.
