3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this from LCBO in 330ml bottle. Pours a medium tan clear color, medium foam head dissapates quickly. Has butterscotch, caramel vanilla, aroma, with sweet smooth taste to it, and rum like notes overall. This is not bad wouldn’t partake all the time but for being different it is ok.
malty aroma with faint hints of oak. red and clear in color with nice long lasting head. medium body, malty in flavor with light oak notes RobBestwick (931) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 12, 2016
Bottle. Vanilla and spice aroma - smells a bit like coca-cola. Pours a dark copper/brownish colour with thin light brown head. Spice, vanilla and toffee flavours. Slick and oily palate. Sweet malt finish. Enjoyable brew. maley1 (1273) - Calgary, CANADA - OCT 7, 2016
Dark clear amber red pour with small off white head. Aroma of malts, oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, caramel and rum. Taste of caramel malts, vanilla, oak, rum, toffee, cinnamon, nutmeg and butterscotch. Full bodied, medium carbonation, nicely balanced. Another solid delicious offering from this brewery! reebtogi (6267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 19, 2016
330ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate with some herbal and spicy notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a grassy and spicy hop bitterness with an interesting herbal finish. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, an interesting brew that suits the style well with a nice balance of flavours. Recommended. Mjp12 (1864) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2014
Light rum spice on the aroma . Flavour and mouthfeel are both buttery, which is unusual.

(bottle - 330 ml) Copper pour with an off-white head. Buttery and spiced aroma with some light caramel and a lot of rum spice. Flavor has some dry caramel and toffee malts at the start with a spicy rum and oak middle and a buttery toffee-like finish. Swaroga (2217) - Warszawa, POLAND - JUL 26, 2014
Znalazłem to piwo w angielskim Tesco i nie rozumiem czemu nie zrobiłem wpisu. Z tego co pamiętam piwo było całkiem przyzwoite i świetnie zbalansowane. Posmak alkoholu faktycznie przypominał nuty palonego karmelu i drewna. Jedno z lepszych piw dostępnych w tej sieciowce. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JUL 14, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into the Innis and Gunn tulip.
The appearance was a nice hazy brown color with some light red tinges around the edges of the glass. There was a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a million. There was a moderate amount of white foamy lacing trickling down the glass.
The smell had a nice toasted oaky vanilla to glaze over top of a light rum.
The taste was sweet and oaky along with the rum but not in an overly boozy way.
On the palate, this one sat right at medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect about it. The carbonation was pretty smooth.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer worthy of coming back to. Rperez (262) - Florida, USA - JAN 5, 2014

Bottle. Golden amber with an off white foam. Aromas are toffee and marzipan with vanilla. Spicy with dark rum and lots of booze. Honey and lemon with burnt rubber. Flavours are sweet caramel and vanilla with bitter lemon and rum syrup. Nutty alcohol with spices. Industrial and a bit rough. Still one of the better Innis & Gunns.
