33cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell. ABV 7.4% A bright golden amber colour with a rapidlly dissipating head and lots of carbonation; rather subdued aroma - some vanilla wood but little else; the taste is a good balance of rum, light spice and vanilla from the wood; the finish has a lingering toasty sweetness. Rather pleasant and well-balanced.

Bottle at home. Pours light orange-brown, slightly hazy, few fingers of white head that disappears quickly, no lacing. Looks like a barley wine in the glass. Aromas of toffee, demerara sugar, caramelised apple - all fairly faint on the nose however. Taste is not nearly as sweet as youd expect with those aroma notes. Light flavours and medium body. Its all a bit so-so. Very drinkable, but not very noteworthy.

330ml bottle. Pale amber colour. Large, frothy, off white head quickly disappeared and left no lacing. Dark fruit and caramel aroma. Pleasantly sweet taste. Medium body, smooth texture and a gentle alcoholic warmth. Would go down well as a nightcap.
