jercraigs (10651) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2013
2013-06-27. Crisp golden amber, nice foamy off white head fades. 3++ Aroma starts with a toffee like sweetness, light alcohol, reminds me a bit of Rum Butter Lifesavers actually. Flavour is similarly sweet up front. Drier malt towards the end, toasty sort of biscuity character to it. Smooth average plus bodied palate, light carbonation. Much better than expected! It has cellared for a few months. I might have had it sooner if I knew it was this good! ;) Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

Bottle. Why describe it-- you can see for yourself through the clear bottle. Sigh. Okay, I’m not going to gie this much of my time. It iss overly sweet and rummy, and just not my thing. The rum casks are my least favourite from a brewerry that has only a few decent outputs for me. I suppose it will find its fans, but I’m not counted among them. Just too sweet and rummy.

MoritzF (10018) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2013
(bottle, 33cl, 2012 edition) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly malty aroma with notes of coconut, anise, vanilla and toffee, accompanied by a delicately fruity touch of ripe pineapples. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly buttery malty base with oaky accents with hints of vanilla and toffee; moderately sweet malty finish, not as sticky as expected with a whiff of alcohol. Not bad, quite rounded. 13.IV.13

gunnar (9333) - Sandnes, NORWAY - AUG 21, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours clear dark amber with a small fast disappearing head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, vanilla and rum. Taste is sweet, malty with some wood and rum at the finish. Not a winner here.

gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear amber with a minimal head. Quite a lot of Rum in both the aroma and taste. Also dried fruit, oak and toffee. Better than expected but thin and with a short aftertaste. Not a refreshing beer but it was drinkable.

mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 12, 2014
[5544-20130627] 341mL clear bottle. Rum candied fruit grain aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy white head. Sweet rum barrel grains flavour. Medium body. Initially unpleasant but grew on me. (7/3/6/3/14) 3.3

solidfunk (9208) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Smells of vanilla with some oak aromas and some loww quality rum. Im thinking probably bacardi or captain morgans casks. Pours pissy clear and rum looking. Some foamy head. A little bitterness from the oak. These beers are all marketing.

Svesse (8683) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 12, 2012
(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of oak wood, honey, dried fruit, banana, coconut, rum, molasses, orange and spices. Fruity taste with dried fruit, honey, oak wood, banana, orange, toffee, a touch of chocolate and a sweet, spicy finish with a touch of rum and vanilla. Medium body, fairly sweet (but not going too far). I expected something sweet and cloying, but this was quite balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2013
Clear copper with a slender white cap. Caramel sauce aroma. JD honey, waffles, Dooley’s, vanilla ice cream, Bourbon, expensive rum flavour. A guilty, sickly, revolting, beer-free pleasure from first sip to last.

2.7
RichTheVillan (8029) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2014
Bottle from Aldi; clear burnished amber pour with thin thin head, toffee aroma, taste has a hint of spice and vanilla, mostly caramel and malts with some fruit action.
