330ml bottle. Clear copper colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Aroma has toffee and oak notes, a touch of vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet malty, notes of toffee, oak, a touch of vanilla, a slightly biting mixture of pepper and bitter hop. Sigmund (7537) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 24, 2015
330 ml clear bottle in cardboard box, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. BB date Sept. 2013. ABV is 7.4%. Cognac colour, slightly hazy. Small off-white head. Fairly nice sweetish aroma of spiced rum and oak, some vanilla. Nice medium sweet flavour, spiced rum, spiced stewed fruits, moderate oak and vanilla. Minimal hops, as in all Innis & Gunn beers, but here the spiciness to some degree compensates for the lack of hops. Probably the best I & G variety I’ve had so far Nisse666 (7436) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2011

Aroma: aged for over a month gave fairly strong rum cask notes , caramel malt as backing, slight dryness of alcohol. 7-
Look: clear amber with short lived frisky top. 2+
Taste: medium full bodied. Soft mellow sugary base with smooth rum feel. Light spice noted behind. Vanilla with caramel. Sticky. Its good and is as advertised spiced rum sided strong malty ale with sugary backing.
7.4% ABV: 330ml bottle. BBD Sep 15, poured into a Gordon badged thistle shaped glass at home on 6th Mar 15 during a Scottish tasting evening I had with myself. Looked lovely, clear toffee apple red/amber with a creamy head in colour and texture. Caramel and toffee nose, very malty in all aspects. I wanted to find Rum and spices but failed in the aroma. However both Rum and spices did appear in the taste, the flavour was a bit too sweet though, even for my sweet tooth, vanilla notes arriving mid-sip and adding to the sweetness, just when a hop bitterness might have calmed down the whole brew and helped to balance out the sweetness. I actually liked it a lot more than most beers I have had from these guys. larsniclas (7078) - Billdal, SWEDEN - DEC 23, 2011
Bottled from Systembolaget.
Deep holden. Small white head. Oaky aroma and flavour. Medium bitterness. Maybe some sugar-cane, but not much.

33cl bottle. Pours a nice clear honey colour with a nicely proportioned. The nose has spiced balsalm would with a hint of stewed apple. The taste has more spiced apple, some butterscotch, some sweet wood spices and then it slightly falls away. The palate is medium bodied textured with a slightly cloying finish. berkshirejohn (6505) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2014
33cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell. ABV 7.4% A bright golden amber colour with a rapidlly dissipating head and lots of carbonation; rather subdued aroma - some vanilla wood but little else; the taste is a good balance of rum, light spice and vanilla from the wood; the finish has a lingering toasty sweetness. Rather pleasant and well-balanced.
