330ml in box, pours clear amber with a small white head, toffee caramel malt, oaky notes and rum, sticky molasses, balaned tidily with a long bitter finish with rum in the aftertaste. Lively carbonated with a light body, thin slighly creamy texture and a crisp finish. Good.

Bottle. One of the better beers I’ve tried by Innis and Gunn. Aroma of cinnamon, tropical fruit, cherries, vanilla. Clear reddish brown colour. Taste is sweet rum, bitter finish. Creamy texture.

[email protected] Amber to pale copper colour with a small creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, mild spices, some sugary and sweet notes along with mild vanilla. Flavour is fudge/caramel/toffee with some sugary and a bit herbal earthy notes. Quite sweetish finish with mild vanilla as well.

Nov 14, 2012. 330ml bottle pours rich amber colour with small foamy head that fades quickly to ring and leaves no lacing. Aroma is fantastic! Sweet caramel malt with nuts and rum, hints of vanilla and floral. Expected the flavour to be stronger based on aroma but quite subdued. Not much spice but rich rum malt with typical Innis vanilla and toffee flavour. Palate was very smooth and like silk to drink. A tad too easy drinking and light for this style.

Bottle from liquor barons Carlisle. Pours a light brown with very little head. Aromas of spice, rum, toffee, vanilla and some oak. Taste is refreshing with notes of caramel, vanilla, spices and the rum. I get a touch of banana in there somewhere too. Pretty refreshing beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2013-06-27. Crisp golden amber, nice foamy off white head fades. 3++ Aroma starts with a toffee like sweetness, light alcohol, reminds me a bit of Rum Butter Lifesavers actually. Flavour is similarly sweet up front. Drier malt towards the end, toasty sort of biscuity character to it. Smooth average plus bodied palate, light carbonation. Much better than expected! It has cellared for a few months. I might have had it sooner if I knew it was this good! ;) Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto
