Pasteurised bottle.
Ingredients: Optic malt; chocolate malt; Goldings hops.
The pasteurised beer is sent to the Glenfiddich distillery and used to seal American white oak barrels; and then transferred to a marrying tun where the barrels are blended. The bottled beer is stored for a month before being distributed to shops. The period spent in the barrel, then the marrying tun and then the bottle gives the beer the name "Triple Matured".

Bottle. Mahogany/dark brown in colour. Mellow whisky flavoured beer. Oaky aroma. Malty; oak and vanilla, toffee, honey. Fruity; dried fruit. Some light hops. Rather light and fizzy. Smooth and mellow. Sweet malty throughout. Easy drinking for ABV. (2009-01)

Bottle split at LKS skyline, thanks to Fergus for this boxed R offering, 27/05/15. Chestnut brown with moderate beige spotting and edgework. Nose is wooded, caramel, sweet tunes, light cocoa, toffee, watered down bourbon, coconut. Taste comprises watery JD&Coke, caramel, marshmallow, coconut. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok I guess - one of the better I&G offerings Ive had!

Bottle thanks to Fergus. What a bro! It pours deep red-brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, vanilla, coconut, juicy, permanent marker, wood and toffee. The taste is sweet, toffee, toasted coconut, wood, caramel, sticky, brown bread, varnish and a touch of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Has aged gracefully. One of the best beers from these guys.

Bottle shared in London - huge thanks to Fergus for digging this out of the cellar. Pours crystal clear ruby with a creamy tan head. The aroma holds rich bread, tangy semi-dark fruits, toasted grain, caramel. Medium sweet flavor with pleasant notes of brown sugar, caramel, bread, ripe berries, figs. Medium bodied, a little chewy, with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with more ripe fruits, berries, figs, sugary bread, faint alcohol warmth, gooey caramel. Quite tasty overall.

Bought this from Systembolaget when it was available and tried it with some of the other special releases. I have a hard time with the butterscotch which i think is dominating these beers, theres also problems with all the special-editions which in my opinion are all pretty much alike. This particular one i thought didnt stand up to the wood all that well.

Pours a clear brown with a fair white ring around the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, subtle chocolate, oak, vanilla and some notes of scotch. Flavour is chocolate, oak, vanilla, scotch qualities, mildly bitter and some alcohol. Lovin it!

Pours a clear dark amber with a small off white ring. Aroma of vanilla, oak, sweet floral notes and toffee candy. Taste is vanilla, oak, chocolate and finishes with a nice smooth scotch alcohol warmth. Slick and velvety on the mouth, excellent oak barrel aged beer.

Sampled at the International Great Beer Expo, Rock Hill, NY. Definitely my favorite of the afternoon. Pours a dark, tea like color. Very small head but good lacing. Very strong but pleasant aroma of malt and a hint of vanilla. Very smooth tasting. A hint of bourbon and possibly vanilla. I cant stress how much I liked this beer. This cannot be compared to traditional brews of any sort. It has a full mouthfeel and definitely not a session beer. A great beer for one or two on a cold night.
