500ml swing-top bottle.
IT pours a clear golden red with a foamy white head that recedes slowly with some nice lacing.
It smells like bread, raisins, and nuts. A good sweet pastry, some people complain that this doesn’t seem like a seasonal, it definitely reminds me of the treats you eat during Christmas time.
The flavor is the same. It is a beautiful bock bier, one of the best I have had. It is so deep and luscious despite only being 5.6% alcohol.

500ml bottle with plastic stopper. Pours a murky tan color. The aroma is sweet, not unlike brown sugar or cookie dough. Sweet malty taste as well, with some bocky characteristics. Perhaps a little Amber malt in there? Nice smooth caramel/butterscotch finish. A lot of the flavors of a stronger bocks, but way more drinkable at 5.6%. Good, unique Winter beer. Bottle: Pours a copper color with a nice white head. The nose is herby with some nice caramel malt and yeasty notes. The flavor is pungent with ripe banana and toasty biscuit along with the light fruitiness of the yeast and the hops. The finish is clean and distinct. Very nice body, quite a nice beer. Golden-bronze with a frothy head. Aroma pleasures the olfactory senses will a well-formed, rich maltiness with a malt ball quality to it. The flavor again is pleasantly malty all the way through. Perfect, medium body. Consistent maltiness on the palate with no off flavors. Toasted malt on the finish adds a nice warming quality that belies the 5.6% ABV. Well-balanced without noticeable hopping. The toasty malt sweetness hits the right pitch, and never becomes too much. This beer seems bigger than it is. Exceptionally quaffable. Honolulu, Hi. - Whole Foods - 500 ml flip top bottle. Murky, dark orange appearance with a frothy white head. Sweet aroma of dates and plums. Flavor has some prunes, chocolate, raisins but turns a bit boozy in the finish. Thick moouthfeel, rib-sticking good.

Swing-top. Nose is yeasty and sweetly malty, touches of grain and cellar, nicely spicy. Hazy dark amber pour with a creamy rocky white head. Taste is more of the same, sweet, yeasty, lots of pale malts, some toasted grain, spice. A few sugar cookies thrown into the barrel. Touch of lemon spritz. Watery-thin body, clean, slightly dry end. Easy-going, refreshing, pleasurable. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - DEC 17, 2009
Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a rich cramy off-white head that leaves swathes of creamy lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity with hints of peppery spice and fruit bread. Flavor is spicy, rich with the same peppery notes as in the aroma. Very full bodied.

bottled, from pilsen pivoteka. golden with a lingering head; sweet and musky aroma; pleasant warming alcohol with vanailla malt character and a crisp, grassy bitter finish scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - FEB 1, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2009 Clear gold tinted amber slightly. With the second pour came some haze and some suspended protein. Towering proper head crept over the rim of the glass and condensed quickly. Sweet aroma like a classic lager but lacks the cream corn aroma I hate, lightly toasted rye in there as well. This hit me very nicely. Clean malty flavor, easy sugary finish. Fresh flavors and light overall, lasting complexity, clean finish. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 2, 2008
Poured from a bottle a light copper-amber body with a hardy thick off-white head. I was surprised this was a light colored beer judging by label. Sweet, honey, nutty nose with lots of yeasty esters. Phenolic banana-clove presence. MIld roastiness and chewy honeyed finish. Pretty good one!
