Bottle: Pours a dark auburn color with mahogany hues, a puffy tan head and very nice thick lacing. The nose is sweet with some raisin and grape notes along with some caramel and molasses maltiness. The flavor is balanced, a bit sweet with the malts, but it’s thick and creamy with a light sweet but somewhat metallic and boozy finish. Moderate. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - FEB 8, 2010
Bottle; poured a dark brownish color with a khaki colored head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, fruit, yeast and must. Quite a solid aroma. Flavor was not quite spot on. Lack a little bit of caramel and sweetness; a tad dryer than expected. A little thin at times. Flavor was a bit of a let down after the aroma, but still a solid beer overall. Bottle:   Coppery caramel, perhaps a deep bronze, moderate to large foamy light beige head, nice lacing.   Soft dark pitted fruit, bready, a little candyish.   Has some caramel aspects.   Malty, mealy on the tongue.  Nice aspect of dark pitted fruit, bready, but this one is not overly heavy.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Enjoyable. fonefan (52426) - VestJylland, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2009
