Hazy brown. Slight muscovado note and hints of brown sugar, but otherwise thin. Perhaps somewhat oxidized, at least thats the impression I get but still nice brown sugar notes.

Bottle thanks to Joss who schlepped it himself across the pond. Simple dark malt aromas and flavors.

Very dark foxy-amber beer with an even, dense, creamy-yellow head. Short sharp greenery smell, followed by sweet, thick cake nose with molasses or treacle and chocolate. Bready, sweet, cake & short sourish (lactic) whiff in each sip. Quite rich, velvety MF as for a rich egg- and chocolate filled cake dough. Bit of rum & raisins too, or it is as if they would fit in naturally. Little near-bitterish finish, earthy. Alcohol remains mainly hidden, but theres some telltale warming. Ah - sweet one, but nice one. Dessert Bock, if any.

Bottle. Chocolate cookie malt aroma, minerallic hop notes. Ruby red, creamy low brown head. Sweet somewhat sirupy base, a hint booze, light herbal counter. Medium, slightly sticky body. Molassis aftertaste.
