Beer poors light golden with a nice white head. Cabronation is very strong and adds nicely to the impression of the beer. Aroma is just of german malts and this comes through in the flavor as well. Flavor is simple but enjoyable with a mild sweetness. Overall this beer is very nice and I would definately puchase again for a German Beer fix. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 4, 2009
On tap. Clear golden with a white head. Clean malty aroma. Medium body, good clean malts with a whiff of flowery hops. Hardly any bitterness. 100709 yespr (45930) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2009
50 cL bottle. Pours clear and yellow with a small white head. Light grassy and mild cornish aroma. Bitter and grassy base flavour. Mild acidic and cornish finish. Dry and flat. drjay44 (3742) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUL 16, 2009
500 ml. bottle. Pours an initially large head of poor duration, over a light yellow (SRM 5) clear body....nose very light malt (grass, hay) bit of bread, light hop spice....taste is mild malt, bit of lemon and sensation of slight sweetness. A light refreshing, balanced beer, in a style a little light for me JPDIPSO (6240) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 8, 2009
Hazy dark golden liquid. Moderate off-white head, fairly lasting. Damp grain and floral aromas. Some wet dog and caramel scents as well. Paste glue flavors in the front followed by floral and herbal hops. Middle also has some toasted malt and hint of alcohol. Quite sharp and bitter in the finish and linger. I don’t think this one traveled well. Not clean and malty.

Cloudy almost hefe looking. Sweet syrup aroma. The flavor was completely unexpected given the sour notes I got in the aroma. Earthy malt base with a simple but delicious finish. Perfect carbonation. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAR 20, 2009
Swing-top bottle from Binny’s Beverage Depot in Plainfield, Illinois: It poured a slightly hazed, very pale yellow body with a tall head that provided much lace. It had a very light aroma, sweet and grainy with some candy corn. Very soft mouthfeel. The flavor was grainy and sweet with some damp grasses... and light. Drinkable, to be sure, but this needs something. Anything. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 5, 2009
.5 liter swing top. Pours a slightly hazy stale woody yellow with a nice fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is DMS- a bit of corn, raw undermodified pils malt, grainy gritty, and a touch of acetaldehyde. Flavor is stale old pilsner malt, a bit dank and cobwebby- low to no hops used- and the body is almost lackluster the beer is just showing not much signs of life- just bland and boring and obviously not even fresh, yet I think it was recently imported. Swing-top bottle. Pours clear dark yellow with a large, fizzy and rocky, white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cooked grain, meal, cereal, wet hay), light hops (dry grass, flowers), average yeast (sweat, must) with notes of apples. Light bodied, sticky to gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic to chalky finish. Short duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. Flip top bottle and served in pils glass: Clear straw hue with a lasting frothy white head and very good lacing on glassware. The aroma has notes of grassy and floral hops, grainy and biscuity malt, and some notes of band aid as it warms. The taste is rather pedestrian, mild malt and slight fruity notes with almost no note of hops. Some chalky notes upon the finish. Pretty much grainy and little else. The mouth feel is... well drinkable... which works for Bud Light but is a damning indictment of a German Helles. Where is a Great Lakes Dortmunder when I want one?
